Today I got up at 7 to have a Skype meeting.
After 2 hours, I went to college and researched as usual.
Tomorrow is the beginning of Japanese Golden Week, so I did my best very much.

After 2 hours of meeting, I went to college and did my researched as usual.
Tomorrow is the beginning of Japanese Golden Week, so I did my best very much.
I noticed that Japanese English speaker like to add "very much" for a lot of things even when it's incorrect! I really wonder why.
Anyways, the reason you can't say "best very much" is because "best" is already the highest, you can't have even higher than the "best". But other common occurrence of this mistake is adding "very much" to things that have no degree of emphasis or not valid for its usage. It's hard for me to create an example, because it sounds so strange but here are some:
X "I take walks very much" - O "I take a lot walks"
X "I am full very much" - O "I am very full"
X "It's my favorite very much" - O "It's my most favorite".
My advice is to be very careful when you use "very much", there are only handful of correct situations English speakers use that, such as "Thank you very much".
Now I want to get to sleep...
I'm careful of using "very much".
Your examples are easy for me to understand.
Tomorrow is the beginning of the Japanese Golden Week, so I worked hard (so I can enjoy my holidays).
It's better to explain why're you're working hard because it normally has no relation to a holiday).
Now I want to fall asleep...
