(B) Students in athletic clubs practice very hard in order to win as many events as possible on the field days.
(C) Students in athletic clubs practice very hard in order to win as many events as possible on their field day.
(D) Students in athletic clubs practice very hard in order to win as many events as possible on their field days.
(E) Students in athletic clubs practice very hard in order to win as many events as possible on field days.


Which do you think is/are correct?
I'd appreciate your opinions!

(E) sounds the best to me.
(A) and (C) are unacceptable.
(D) is okay, and (B) is odd but acceptable.

I like D and E equally, but otherwise I agree. By the way, it's "athletics clubs".

In my dialect of English, both "athletics clubs" and "athletic clubs" are possible.
