今日は予定通り（こんな予定は嫌なんですけど・・・）財布を買いに行って来ました。
Today I went to buy my wallet on schedule.( I don't like such a schedule...)
まず、最初に前と同じ財布を求めて、近所にある無印良品に行ってみました。
At first I went to nearby MUJI seeking the same as the previous wallet.
無印良品はただ今セール中で、会員なら１０％ＯＦＦで買い物ができるのです。
Since Muji was now on sale, everybody who was a member could buy anything being knocked 10% off the price at MUJI.
けど、前と同じ型のものはなく、最新のものもいまいち心ときめかなかったので、買わずに帰りました。
Although I went back home not to buy anything, because there wasn't the same type as the previous one and I didn't get off on the new one.
そうすると妻からメールがあって、”財布をなくしたら、すぐに同等かそれ以上のものを買わなきゃダメ！”といわれてしまい、仕方がないので池袋に買いに行くことにしました。
Then I received the email that said "you have to buy the new one as well or better" from my wife,
as a last resort I decided to go shopping to Ikebukuro.
どうせ、定期券の再発行を池袋駅でしなきゃいけないしね。
Anyway I had to get my train pass reissued.
そして、池袋に行って、東武、西武、Loft、PARCOと主要なお店に行ってみたんだけど、値段と機能とデザインで満足するものが見つかりませんでした
And then I went to Ikebukuro and to the major store as Tobu, Seibu, Loft, and PARCO, but I didn't find one to satisfy myself by the price, the function, and the design.
普通に新規に財布を買う時なら全然OKなものでも、今回はなくした後に買うものなので、高いなぁと思って買う気になりませんでした。
I didn't make up my mind to buy the new ones that I could buy normal time, because I thought they are expensive to buy after losing my wallet.
そうこうしているうちに、ちょっと気に入らないけど最初に無印良品でみたやつでいいやと思いはじめました。
Finally, I began to think that the first one looking at MUJI was OK, although I didn't like it a little bit.
ポケットが必要以上についていてかさばるんだけど、値段も安いし、海外出張の時に便利かなとも思い、結局それを買いました。
It was bulky, because It had some pockets more than my needs. Although I bought it finally, because it is the good price.
そして、電車で家に帰る途中、急に雲行きが怪しくなり、空が暗くなりました。
When I was going back home by train, suddenly the clouds looked menacing, and the sky was getting dark.
すると突然スコールのように雨が降り始めたかと思うと、なんか地面で跳ね返っているのが見えました。
Then it rained suddenly like a squall, I looked something bounding around the ground.
なんと、雹も降って来ました。
Mercy! It hailed.
ちょうど駅に停まっていた時に雨が降ってきたのですが、屋根がかかっているところも濡れてしまうほど激しく降ってました。
When the train have just stopped at the station, it began to rain. It rained violently to wet the ground covering by the roof.
やばい、帰れないなあと思っていたら、目的地の駅に着く頃には、すっかり雨もやみ、無事に濡れずに家に帰れました。
I thought it was terrible and I couldn't go back home, but I could go back home without wetting, because it stopped raining when I arrived at the station as a destination.
でも、帰ってきた後すぐに、雷が激しくなり始め、また雨が降り始めました。
Although It began to rain again and to thunder loudly soon, when I came back home.
ぎりぎりセーフだったようです。
I have just been safe.

If 'MUJI is on sale', it sounds like you went shopping for a shop.

"at MUJI" isn't required at the end here, as it is implied from the start of your sentence.
Although However, I went back home not to without buying anything, because there wasn't they didn't have the same type as the my previous one and I didn't want to get off on the new one version.
"However," fits here better. You could also use "In the end," which is a phrase that is similar to saying "in conclusion".

"so" fits here, as it is continuing on from the first part of the sentence.

Try not to start sentences with "and", instead use it to connect two parts of a sentence together (Example: "I sat down at my desk and did my homework.")

"as" or "since" fit better than "because" here.
You could also say "It had more pockets than I needed, so it was fairly bulky."
Though, I bought it eventually, because it is was at the a good price.
"eventually" is better than "finally" here.
On the way home, when I was on the train, the clouds suddenly started to look grim, and the sky was getting dark.
This sounds more natural.
If you meant that you were on the way to the train to get back home here, the sentence would be "Whilst I was on the way to the train to get back home, the clouds ..."
It then suddenly started raining like in a storm, I looked watched it something bounding around splash on the ground.
"squall" is the right word, but it's not very common to hear it in everyday English. I'd say the most common use of the word "Squall" is when referring to the character in Final Fantasy VIII.

I know what you mean here, but it's a little out of place. After reading the Japanese, I can't think of a good equivalent in English to what you want to say here, sorry.

I thought that it was terrible and I couldn't wouldn't be able to get back home, but as I arrived at my station, it stopped raining, so I could go back home without getting wet.
Though, shortly after I got back home, it began to rain and thunder loudly again.
It's seems that I only just made it home in time.
This is a more natural way to say what you were saying here, from reading the Japanese.
Maybe this was a blessing in disguise?
I'm not sure if this is a Japanese phrase, but this is the best I could translate it to, for what I think you were trying to say.

Although in most cases you will say "looking for", like "I'm looking for my shoes.", but when you are browsing goods to purchase you will often here people saying "I'm looking to buy a ___________".
Here, the "looking" is closer to "seeking". The phrase is usually used when you are still thinking about what product you should by, so you may say it to someone as a question to get some suggestions from them, for example:
"I'm looking to buy a new TV, but I can't figure out which would be the best to buy for my needs, there are just so many!"
Although you could also say this as "I'm looking for a new TV, ...", it's common to hear "I'm looking to buy ...".
It's also common to hear people say "I'm looking into the possibility of buying ...", this would be used when someone may have seen a type of product that looks interesting but they don't really know much about it, or if it would be something that they could use. In this case, "for" would not fit into the sentence correctly, as "I'm looking for the possibility to buy ..." would sound like you were simply looking for the chance to buy it, not the action of actually buying it.
"looking" can also be used in other situations.
For example, you can say "I'm looking into it", which would mean that you are investigating or researching something.

I think the dictionary has used "well" poorly here, and it would be better to say "good". The phrase would mean that you needed something that was "as good, or better" than the previous item (in this case the wallet).
Some times you may say, for example "I need my new car to run as well, if not better than my previous one" in which case "well" would be the better word to use, but this is usually used when talking about reliability rather than quality.
あーnagiさん just recently asked me the same question. I can see how it's a little confusing.
Mostly, "though" and "although" are the same. The meaning of the word is the same, and most of the time, you could use either.
I'd say the main difference between them is that "although" is more formal than "though", so although (or though :P) you may use "though" here, if you were to write a formal letter, it would look better to use "although", but most of the time you can use either.
There are times when you cannot use either, though.
The sentence above ("There are times when you cannot use either, though.") is an example of one of these times.
In this case, you are using "though" as an adverb. Another example of this usage could be "It was nice of them to call, though.".
The other time when you cannot use either would be when saying, for example, "It doesn't look as though the weather will get any better." or "Even though it's hard, I must continue studying English!".
In these cases, you are using "though" with "as" or "even".
In terms of your sentence above, this would fall under using it as an adverb, so "although" doesn't fit in. You can usually figure out when this case is being used because you should be able to move "Though" to the start or end of the sentence and it would still make sense. "Although" don't mean "やっぱり" never.
