This caricature reflects contemporary Chinese students' lifestyle.
Tim is a typical Chinese boy. When he was in primary school, he hated the siesta like most kids did. Every time his parents asked him to take a nap, he would get very angry and shout, "To hell with noonday nap!I want to hang out with my friends (or I want to play outside?)."
When Tim went to college, however, noonday nap became an indispensable part of his life. He slept too little at night to be energetic at noon. "God, just let me die on the bed!" he exclaims at noon time.
In my dorm, for expamle, my three roomates and I all make it a habit of taking a nap at noon. I get up at 6 o'clock every morning to read English, so I'm very sleepy at noon. The boy in the pic is a true portraiture (or portrayal??)of myself. That's why I named him Tim (my own English name) (*^__^*)

There was a time when we hated noonday naps 那些年我们痛恨过午睡
Every time his parents asked him to take a nap, he would get very angry and shout, "To hell with noonday nap!
He slept too little at night to be energetic at noon.
是的!不像你们,有很多学生在外面租房子对吧
It's from Spanish, right? I knew this word because of the song "la isla bonita" by alizee and madonna.
When he was in primary school, he hated the siesta like most kids (did).
Every time his parents /asked him to/made him/ take a nap, he would get very angry and shout, "To hell with noonday nap!
Hopefully you didn't learn to swear at that tender age. ^^
I want to hang out with my friends (or I want to play outside?)."
The latter as you wouldn't have learnt the slang yet. lol.
He slept too little at night to be/stay energetic at noon.
In my dorm, for example, my three roomates and I all /make it a/have the habit of taking a nap at noon./或者:take a nap at noon.
make it a habit有"必"的意思(细微之处(??))。比如:I make it a habit to do taichi every morning.
The boy in the pic is a true portraiture (or portrayal??)of myself.
how about "reflection of me"
That's why I named him Tim (my own English name) (*^__^*)
OK, Tim, no more James.:P
Just FYI, 你妹 is not technically a swear. We use it a lot between friends (add 你妹 after a verb can be pretty funny!). But of course it's inappropriate to use it to one's parents' face.

Yes. (subtleties; something subtle)
When Tim went to college, however, afternoon naps became an indispensable part of his life.
I've never seen anybody use the phrase noonday nap. Afternoon nap is more common. I'm curious, does this person actually sleep at 12pm?
In my dorm, for expamle, my three roommates and I all are obsessed with taking a nap at noon.
Roommates has two m's.
Blue is suggested, but the original works too.
"afternoon nap" Thanks!
I was trying so hard not to laugh at the moment.... in the library.
That's so funny but true!
Yeah it's very funny :D
But do you know what 你妹 means?
I'm actually not very sure! haha
It sounded very funny though. Love the faces.
They call it the Thrifty Supermarket. Thrifty my foot/ass - every time I go in there, it costs me a fortune.
他们称这个超市为“省钱超市”, 省钱你妹!。。。。。。
Lol!
In Chinese, adding a "你妹" after a verb can be pretty funny!
The faces are very funny hahaha
