I write a diary in a long time.
Today,Isaw the festival in my near teh workplace.
I didn’t go to the festival for a long time so,I was stopped by there.
This festival was a very small festival but,I do feel that it was summer.

久しぶりに日記を書きます。
今日職場の近くで祭をしているの見かけました。
もう長い間祭に行っていないので、立ち寄ってみました。
とても小さい祭でした。
でも、夏やなって感じがしました＾＾
日本の夏！！

Today, I saw a festival in near my teh workplace.
If you are referring to a specific festival, like 'The Summer Festival' then you use 'the'. If it's not specific, use 'a'.
I haven't been to a festival in a long time, so I was stopped by there.
This festival It was a very small festival, but I do feel that it was summer.
Since the subject is already known, you can use 'it'. Also, when using 'but', the comma/pause comes before the 'but'.
I think "It was a very small festival, but that's because it was summer." is what you're aiming for - this means that it being summer is the reason for the festival being small.
