Fairy Tales:

When I was a child, I hear the Snow White story for the first time. At first I found it silly. Later on I discovered that fairy tales are not a childish stuff as they are part of a repository of European experience. Quite on the contrary, from a psychological point of view, they have a deep meaning (with many layers of history) and are difficult to analyse.

Now I have realized that they haven't told us the full stories. For instance, in "Snow White" the Queen wants to eat the princess' liver and lungs. That part is never mentioned for kids. I fear that when such omissions occur, those stories lose their effect.

After reading all of them I will try to compare European fairy tales with those from other cultures.
