It's scorching in Barcelona. According to the weather forecast, the high temperature is due to a heatwave coming from Sahara.
One of the evidence of this surge of temperature, it has been the incredible increasing of the use of air conditionated. In my home I had to turn the air conditionated on for first time this year.
On the other hand, those who have prefered to go out and face the high temperature are, at this moment, spending all the day sunbathing on the beach. Barcelona is well-known because of its beaches, always full of tourist, especially when the hot shows up in the city.
Both if you've decided to stay in and go out, I can only give you an advice: this situation won't change until September, so you should get used to it.

One of the evidences* of this surge of temperature it has been the incredible increase of the use of air conditioning**.
* When you use “one of,” you need to follow it up with the plural form of a noun (evidences). If you want to use the singular form (evidence), you can just use “one” alone: “One evidence of this surge...”
**
to increase (aumentar) --> the increase (el aumento)
to air-condition (climatizar) --> the air conditioning (el aire acondicionado)
Notice that “air conditioning” in English refers to the process of cooling the air, not to the cool air itself.
In my home I had to turn the air conditioner* on for the first time this year.
* the air conditioner = the device that cools the air
the air conditioning = the fact or result of cooling the air

Whether you've decided to stay in or go out, I can only give you one piece of* advice: this situation won't change until September, so you should get used to it.
* “Advice” is usually uncountable. If you want to translate the singular form of “consejo” you should modify it with “piece.”
I think that “evidence” can be plural sometimes. Anyway, you can’t use the statement “one of” with a singular noun; it always requires a plural noun. With nouns that you can’t make plural, you should use “some of.”
Some of the water... = uncountable noun (always singular)
One of the oceans... = countable noun (can be plural)
Some money... = uncountable noun
Some coins... = countable noun
Get it? :)
