Every twelve years is a cycle. For example, this year 2012 is Dragon healthy, so 2000, 1988, 2024 etc. is Dragon healthy too. 2013 is Snake deep, 2014 is Horse popular and so on.

Rat (charm), Ox (patient), Tiger (sensitive), Rabbit (articulate), Dragon (healthy), Snake (deep), Horse (popular), Goat (elegant), Monkey (clever), Rooster (deep thinkers), Dog (loyalty), Pig (chivalrous).
Include the attribute in brackets, because it's not part of the animal's name.
For example, this year, 2012, is Dragon (healthy), and so are 2000, 1988, 2024 etc.
is Dragon healthy too.
2013 is Snake (deep), 2014 is Horse (popular) and so on.
There's also a Western zodiac, but it's a 12-month cycle instead of a 12-year one. Some people think it affects your personality, but personally I think it's a load of rubbish :P

Make sure you keep the timeline in chronological order.
Hmmm... I thought 2012 is the midpoint, so in chronological order, they are 2012, 2000, 1988 and etc. and 2024, 2036, and etc. But they really seem strange. Thank you for your help Cplus. :))
