Theory is when you know everything but nothing works.

Practice is when everything works but no one knows why.

In our lab, theory and practice are combined: nothing works and no one knows why.

Haha! I can't agree with this more! Are conditions all the same in every lab around the world?
理论是你知道所有的事情，但是都不能实现。

实践是可以实现所有的事情，但没人知道是怎么回事。

在我们实验室，理论和时间很好地结合：没有东西可以实现，也没人知道为什么。

哈哈！我太赞同了！是不是世界上所有实验室的情况都一样啊？

    "Couldn't" is better than "can't" here because it has a stronger meaning: in this sentence, "couldn't" means "there is no possibility", while "can't" means "not able".

This is really funny. There are definitely many times in my life when I feel this is true: no matter what smart people try to do, nothing works and no one knows why. Thank you so much for sharing this!
