The spring sport meeting will be held this Friday. A teacher asked me to do the long jump instead of her. I'm worrying about this. I never did the long jump before. Even though the outcome does not matter, it is a tragedy if I can not jump into the bunker. I will try it tomorrow. Hope it is not too bad..

The spring sport meeting will be held this Friday.
运动会 is not a meeting. "sports event" or "sports competition".
I have never done the long jump before.
Even though the outcome does not matter, it would be a tragedy if I could not jump into the pit.
This sentence is fine, but wouldn't any jump land you in the pit? I don't know much about long jump. :)

跳远的话，前面要助跑一段距离，起跳的地方离沙坑大约有一米多远的距离，所以我有点担心自己不敢跳 ：）
