I often hear my co-workers who are fluent in English saying "Right over there" when they are asked directions.

"Right" is not familiar to me, but it sounds very English.

They often say "Go down the street".

I know it means "Go straight", but it sounds like the street has a slope.
「Go straight」だという意味だが、道に坂があるように聞こえる。

I always get confused with right and left, so I'm hopeless with showing directions.
