When it comes to nursing care in Japan, there is still an old notion that their children should take care of them in Japan.

Otherwise, the children who don't look after their parents, are perceived as inconsiderate people.

My friends, Americans and British rolled their eyes to know the fact.

The reasons is that they prioritize their lifestyle, and value the independence of elderly people's life, so it is difficult to understand the thoughts that sacrifice their life for looking after their parents.

They think that it is reasonable to leave their parents nursing homes if money allows.

To be honest, it is too cold and practical for me.

The nursing care insurance premium is deducted our salary when people become forty in Japan.

The insurance is paid when people become 60 years old and up care depending on how disabilities affects their daily life.

The disabilities are screened by doctors, and authorized by local governments.

Even though my friend take advantage the system for her father, she visits his home regularly with a three hour train ride.

I'd like to know if she is over-sentimental.
