My husband and I went to the Zuiderzee Museum where we can see a reconstructed old village.
The museum is consist of a outdoor and a indoor.
The most unique point is that the museum in located in an island so that the entrance is a port where the small connect two directions.
After twenty-minute gently speed cruise, we landed on the outdoor museum, an old fishing village.
The village was reconstructed precisely, there were some staffs or volunteers who put on costume and explain to us about the life in the village at the time of prewar.
I was surprised to see the bed which people used.
As you can see the picture, the bed was not in the room, it was in the closet.
The long looked less than 155cm, my height.
The closet was dark, clumsy and dump.
I can't imagine people could sleep in such a small room.
It is very strange how small the people were!
Now the Dutch people are very high, the women's average height is 180cm or so, I guess.
Considering the shortage of food in the past, is it reasonable?
It is a mystery...

Going to a Zuiderzee Museum (Reconstructed of old Dutch village in Holland)
My husband and I went to the Zuiderzee Museum where we can to see a reconstructed old village.
The museum is made up of an outdoor and an indoor section.
The most unique feature is that the museum is located on an island and the entrance is connected to and from by waterways to a port where boats are found.
This is the best I can do covey the meaning of the Japanese text.
A twenty-minute leisurely cruise brings us to the outdoor museum which is built in the form of an old fishing village.
The village was reconstructed precisely and manned by staff or volunteers in traditional costumes who explain to us about the prewar life in the village at that time.
I was surprised to see the bed which people used to sleep on.
As you can see from the picture, the bed was not in the room, it was in the closet.
The length looked to be less than 155cm, about my height.
The closet was dark, confined (or narrow) and damp.
I can't imagine people could sleep in such a small area.
It is unbelievable how small the people were!
Nowadays the Dutch people are very tall, the woman's average height is 180cm or so, I guess.
Considering the shortage of food in the past, is it not unreasonable?
I will check in details after coming back from school.
