Japanese people are welcoming the upcoming new Japanese era and a 10 day holiday.

When Showa emperor died (previous emperor), we mourned his death, so we were asked for restraint.

While he was really sick, talking about the name of new era was inappropriate because it was like we were expecting his death.

Therefore, after his death, when the new name of era, Heisei was announced, most people heard it without feeling any emotion.

However, in this month, Heisei emperor will abdicate, which is the first time in 200 years that the current emperor steps down while he is alive.

We appreciate his dedication and celebrate the new emperor taking the throne.
