ギャル語

Gyaru-go is slang whom Japanese high/jr high school girl student use.
ギャル語とは、女子中高生が使うスラングです。

It is chaging in time, and it isn't used quickly.
時代と共に変化しており、すぐ死語になってしまいます。

"KY" was also popular a few years ago. This means "insensitiving to situation ".
何年か前に流行ったKYもギャル語でした。これは、空気（Kuki）を読む（Yomu）という意味です。

I'll introduce gyaru-go's current ranking.
今のギャル語のランキングを紹介しますね。

No.1: "AGEPOYO" is expressed high tension.
１位: テンションが高いことを表す《あげぽよ》です。

No.2: "TORIMA". It is uesed like this; "I'll just mail you for now." 
This phrase is abbreviation of "FOR NOW or WELL...".
２位:《とりま》「とりま、メールするね」というふうに使われます。「とりあえず、まぁ」を略した言葉です。

No.3: "KAMITTERU"
This means being possessed by supernatural sprits. It changed like this; "excellent→"KAMIGAKATTEIRU(possessed by supernatural sprits)→KAMITTERU"
3位 :《カミッテル》です。
これは、神がかっているという意味です。「とてもすばらしい → 神がかっている → 神ってる → カミッテル」に変化しました。

There is so much new slang in America, and it's almost annoying because people overuse it. I'm mostly talking about teen slang, by the way (it's the slang I hear the most because I'm a highschooler).

1.) "Like" - (充填詞) 文章のどこでも使える。本当に意味がない。実は新しくないけど、まだ最近で使われている。
例：
I, like, found, like, a new book in, like, the library.
(図書館で新しい本を見つけた。)

2.) "Same" - 「そのとおりだ」とか「私も」の略です。
例：
A - I eat fast food a lot.
(ファストフードをよく食べるよ。)
B - Same!
(私も。)

3.) "YOLO" - 「You Only Live Once」とあらわす。「今を楽しめ」の略です。
例：
A - We should skip school tomorrow and go to the movies.
(明日の学校をサボって映画に行こう。)
B - Alright, YOLO.
(まあ、人生は短いな。)

et cetera, et cetera.
I probably hear these slang words the most.

YOLO sounds so contrived ... Can I expect to see it in movies sometime in the next 10 years?

Like and Same aren't slang though.
Like is replacing "um" and Same just means "same here".
