Do professional athletes have a duty to serve as positive role models?
- I think parents and teachers at school rather than professional athletes have a more duty to play a positive role. People tend to do the same thing like what the closest person does. We have few chances to contact professional athletes in face and we consider them totally different from us. Of course, we often see athletes on TV and some people wish to be like them or respect them, but it is not only athletes to appear in TV, we also see politics, MC, comedians, singers etc on the TV. In that meaning, athletes are just a person appearing in TV. They make a positive or a negative influence on some people but I think parents and teachers have more influence on us.
