Trains in Japanese cities
In Japanese cities, particularly Tokyo and Osaka, the most popular transportation is trains.
There are many railroad companies and enormous train lines runs.
It's usual that a few stations are built in same area by each companies.
Development of railroads has some factors.
First, people can't have their own cars because it's high cost in cities.
I think having a car in cities is something of a luxury.
Second, cities has a big population. Most people stay cities in daytime live in outer cities.
Elaborate of trains was made in demand.
As for me, this situation is good.
It's complex but convenient.
