Hello!
I want to find a way to improve my English!
I found myself can't explain what I want to say very clearly, especially, something related to emotion.
I have been watching American TV series for years, and listening to English music since 5 years ago, but still I think it is not enough for me.
I would like to learn some slang, and read some books.
I want to start from something easy, easy for me to understand.
Magazines that I like including the ‘National Geography’, and the ‘Reader's Digest’. However, sometimes, I can’t understand all the articles in the “National Geography”.
Please recommend me some books! And also the singer that you like!

4) salute, salute pound, 9 to 5, shimmey feet and the simple cross & roll etc.
To learn more English, (I recommend you watching movies, drama, episodes, rather than listening to music)
Twilight (Contains romance and fantasy)
Big Bang Theory (Contains humor and science)
Friends <--- (Contains idioms which you may have not heard)
Legally Blonde 1 & 2 (Contains professional legal dialogue)
Prison Break (General English)
Lost (General English)
24 (General English)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer <--- Lots of dialogue
These are a few helpful recommendations. Hope this helps

You can start reading some books like kids books which don't have a lot of complicated vocabulary.
I think so!
I will try!
I found that I can't explain what I want to say very clearly, especially, for things related to emotion.
Magazines that I like include the ‘National Geography’, and the ‘Reader's Digest’.
My favorite books from middle school/high school:
- "A Wrinkle in Time" by Madeleine L'Engle
- "Where the Red Fern Grows" by Wilson Rawls
They're both older books so won't help with slang much but reading any books will help you be more comfortable with common phrases.
I will try to find these books online!!!!
