Archaeologists found clay fragments of fifteen status in the temple on the promontory of Ayia Irini. Each of those represented a goddess and had, at one time, been painted. The body of one statue was found among remains dating from the fifteen century B.C. Its missing head happened to been found among remains of the fifth century B.C. The fragments were reconstructed and it turned out to be a three feet high goddess. She was wearing a full-length skirt, which swept the ground and rested her hands on her hips. However, so far, her identity is not known.
