Since the end of 19th century English has had a great success because was seen as a global language and so many people during the following years wanted to learn it .
This phenomen is still going on now,but it seems that something has begun to change; A new global form of English was born, far from the language spoken by native-speakers.This is surely a consequence of globalization

Demographic trends have a profound impact on the world language system and on the social structure.
By the 1990 population increase in many developed countries had slowed but in developing ones is still rising fast.This because in rural areas children are considered as workforce, whilst in cities their birth depends on family's economic possibilities.
The movement of migrant works, immigrants tourists and international students across the world is the main reason for language spread and created a new English more informal and undestood from everybody.
In developed nations ageing populations are causing some social and economic problems like the lack of skilled workers, the providing of public services for elderly and the pension crisis.
This demographic changes can be described with an S-shaped graph. The curve starts gradually, quickly jumps,then begins to slow and level out at 10 billion.
