Dear Richard
Congratulations on your new job! I’m delighted to hear that at last you succeded in getting right the job you looked for so tenaciously: I know how much you wanted to get that position!
So you will work for a sports equipment company, but what exactly are you going to do there? What are your specific duties in the company? I’m sure you will cover a position of great responsibility, but I would love to know exactly what you will be in charge of. And, most importantly, how much will you make out of it?
However, you shouldn’t worry that much about the new job. I know you: you are clever, flexible and prepared and it will be easy for you to learn the ropes. Once you’ll have gotten used to the specific procedures they adopt everything will go smoothly. Moreover it’s quite normal to make some mistakes when you start a new job. Just be positive about it!
Promise that you will let me know everything about your first day in the office: I can hardly wait to get every single detail about it!

I wish you well
