Recently, I listened old fashion Chinese Rock Roll. I feel better than today, because nowadays most Chinese singer just want to make money. Cui Jian almost the first Rock Roll singer in China. He is a milestone in China Rock Roll history. Dou wei, Zhang chu, He yong also are great singer. They famed since middle of 80s.

It's strange to write "he was almost the first", it's better to write "he was one of the first."

Usually people are not milestones; their work and their events are milestones. In this case, his work was a milestone. Also, you can say either "X was a milestone" or "X marked a milestone." I like the second one, but both are 100% OK.
Dou Wei, Zhang Chu, and He Yong also are great singers.
They have been famous since the middle of the 80s.
