Famers in my hometown harvest apples after the season of grape terminates. It starts from the end of October. My mother fixed the clothes, which my father owned, so that I can wear them and send to me with an apple. Here is this on my hand in three pictures.

Interestingly, in the world, there was a person who sweep over the wold using an apple with a leaf and a hollow. Can I do that using this apple? haha

Anyway this one looks like very delicious. Actually, it has good smell, though It is just one.

I think that Japanese people usually peel apples' skin when they eat them. How about your county? I used to see that people eat an apple with its skin directly in the university cafeteria in the US.

Although apple pie is high calorie as well as pizza, I like it. Surprisingly, in some counties, when people eat it, they add white cream. it is higher calorie than one in Japan.

Take : Esthetic dentistry for children is one tool for new consciousness (0)

Esthetic dentistry for children sounds like over treatment medically. However, it seems to contribute children's health. It is not only important for them to prevent caries, right? It might have been over. Needless to say, children has no caries. Plus, they have the function of mouth such as eating, pronouncing, the arrange of face in their growth. Therefore, in one sense, I hope that aesthetic dentistry for children develops correctly.
Anyway, even though I don't know what other countries's mothers are like, mothers in Japan, whom I see in the train and including my sister who has two sons, appear to be busy to bring up their children. The mothers's priority is always their children. Even if their health were damaged, they absolutely would care about their children. In addition, although children are cute, they are troublesome in the public space because they haven't been socialized yet. Such mothers are so tough that they have to control not only their children but also themselves. According to Japanese social situation in urban area, how they learn child dental care and take their children for periodical check-up in Japan may be as difficult as they themselves go to dental office and have own dental care.
After I went back to Japan from the US, I often use train in the daytime. While I worked for the university dental hospital, I didn't use to do so. That's why, recently I concern about this problem. How will we dentists in Japan deal with it?

According to a website, it is defined that it is a Japanese winter dish consisting of several ingredients such as boiled eggs, daikon radish, konnyaku, and processed fish cakes stewed in a light, soy-flavoured dashi broth. I was surprised that my korean friends well know it. Plus, some of them like its soup, even though I think that Japanese people only focus on eating its ingredients. As a matter of fact, for even Japanese people, it is difficult to define its content because each region in Japan has respective content and soup taste. In my family's case, as its ingredients, konnyaku, daikon radish, and processed fish cakes are the prerequisite.
My favorite
1. Egg
2. Daikon radish
3. Konnyaku
In the past, Japan didn't have good distribution system, so wholesalers may have thought how they could bring and sale fish for people who live inside Japan, mountainous area. Thus, they developed processed food. It is not too much to say that it is one of Japanese food culture. Even though Japanese food is famous now, I think that people tend to focus on Sushi, or raw fish as Japanese food. There are various fish dishes in Japan even except raw fish ones. Especially, people who are very fond of drinking Sake(日本酒), please try and enjoy such dishes.

If you ask someone for a date, you can feel nervous until you get his/her answer. Nevertheless, no one avoid to experience such a situation. People would rather have such a chance.

So, how should you meet someone who may become your sweetheart in the future. I do not know how the chance is made in other countries, but, in Japan, as one of the methods, we have an opportunity to make someone at matchmaking party. According to my friends' personal statistic, they get disappointed in most of the case in the party. They says to me that the cuteness which is said by girls is different from the cuteness which is said by them, so if they are said by girls that the girls rarely take their cute friends who have guy's ideal cuteness and beauty.

It depends on each person whether the people split the bill on a date, because some think that paying money for their sweetheart is proud as a guy. On the other hands, others think that they are glad that they can share everything, even responsibility, with their lover fairly.

Getting attached to someone and falling in love are so wonder that people are gone up or down. Moreover, some people even lose their mind, though no one predict the future of love.

TAKE

How are you ready for job? Well, In my case, I start looking for job checking out job offers on websites. If you have personal connection to get a job, it is better than websites because it is easy to understand relationship among people who serve the job. I think human relations is totally important for any jobs.

Basically, in Japan, people have been working for 8 hours a day, and five-day work week is adopted. Even on Friday, they work the same as other week days unlike other countries which shorten work time on Friday.

To have difficulty finding a job is social problem in my country. Young people who graduated from a university strive to get a job desperately, but it is so crucial that even the people who apply for more than 20 companies cannot get a job surely. Unfortunately, the rate of suicide increase because of the cause.

Companies tend to hire the people who work part time and as a contract employee. It is because they can deal with temporary staves more easily than regular employees thanks to less responsibility.

TAKE

Boston university, where I studied English language, has exploited electric tools for running any academic situations such as the registration of the classes, the admission of the students, and payment for tuition fee. I was surprised such a system in BU. Because I have never experienced it in Japan, some big university has the same method in Japan, although.

When I was a university student in Japan, my classes except physical education are required course, not elective one. I used to skip some class when I was a freshman thanks to boring subjects which are fundamental sciences. But I scored well in the mid-term exam and term exam with helping by my kind friends.

I wanna go back to student life.

Take : The Joy of Shopping. (3)

In Japan, women are said that they really like shopping. How is your country? Our generation, unlike my father's generation who directly go to shops and buy something there, have a chance to get something by mail order such as Amazon. We pay by credit card then, which is common in North America, even though Japanese people usually use cash in shops. people in some countries try to negotiate a shop assistant regularly when they buy something. Japanese people don't do that unless we go to special market where people can ask to discount.

Some users on Lang-8, who were asked the reasons why they study Japanese by be and answered that they want to visit one day, had better visit Japan as soon as they can if they want to buy a lot here. Because our sales tax will increase thanks to recent main regime in Japan. you can change and refund easily if you have defective products in Japan. It is partly because shops compete the ready service to solve the claims of customers. It is proud quality for Japan.

I have fun watching sports. For example, last year I was crazy about watching major league baseball games. Unfortunately, I could not watch Dice-K, Matsuzaka Daisuke, a famous pitcher in Japan, because he took operation in order to revive his arm and healed it during last season. I hope that he plays with best condition and good result in this season.

I am fond of seafood. I guess that it is because I inherit this taste from my mother. Luckily, recently fish market started being run next to my house. My mother is pleased with the fact. Our table can get flesh fish anytime easily.

I know that many girls in the world cannot resist ice cream. In my case, I loved iced coffee. I drink iced coffee in even winter. When I was a hard worker, I spend daytime with only a cup of iced coffee, and I fell into low blood sugar level, so I often have intermittent headache when it is over 5:00 p.m. It is totally unhealthy. I cannot do such a thing anymore because of my aging, I don't want to do, though. Nevertheless I prefer drinking iced coffee.

I was moved by the fact that some designs and even small letters are written on ipad by some special pens, stylus pen. Even though I am attached to Apple's products and I an in the habit of checking new electric products which is convenient for my life, I didn't notice such a nice news. Thus, I ordered 64 GB ipad and stylus pen. I will employ it for my work such as planning, arranging documents without any papers, explanation.

Take : My town and Neighborhood (0)

Both of the town where I live now and my hometown located a quiet residential area. But the former one is in a big city, and the latter one is in a rural area, which is at the foot of the mountains.

The apartment where I reside now is owned by my father, so I need not pay the fee of residence. It is quite lucky for me because if I rented an apartment around here, it takes much cost. This area can access to Tokyo very easily thanks to the train system which is run by from 3 min to 5 min intermittently. The station near my apartment has supermarket and is surrounded by shops and restaurant, so it is highly convenient and systematic to live. The line of the train has 30,000 customers only to commute. Thanks to such situations, the big city acquires high taxation and gives the citizen great welfare, particularly, the children and the elder people. For instance, my grandmother, who is 90 years old and super fine, is served free delicious lunch in the community center. It is because it promote communication among elder people who become alone easily due to their aging.

On the other hand, my hometown is a quite different place from the place I mentioned above. For example, in my hometown the train is once an hour, and the citizen have to have at least a car because supermarkets and shops are widely dotted in the area. They are huge thanks to the cheap price of land, and have big parking lots. The public bus stop when the customer just raise their hand wherever they want to ride. There are only 40,000 people who live there. Nature is rich, and the main industry is agriculture. I would go to ski with my family in the ski resort. Interestingly, some of my classmates commuted from mountains to our high school in the town crossing a mountain every day. In one sense, they were tough and wild. My elementary school, junior high school, and high school locate within a radius of 2 km from my house, so my world was quite small when I was young. From such a place, I moved to Tokyo area. Needless to say, I was totally confused at urban life.

TAKE

I have a brother and two sisters. The oldest sister is 9 years, the brother is 6 years, and the other sister is 2 years older than me. Each of the latter two sibling have been married. The oldest sister has talent to teach something because of us. The brother is strong-will and hardworking, so he has never taken any exams to enroll in schools and all schools where he went and studied admitted him with only interview and essay thanks to his great scores and status as a student. The second sister was also intelligent, even though she is a house wife who has two sons right now. When she was a high school student, I saw that she was crying because she took 89% of exam score despite the fact that I thought it was good score. She could not have been satisfied without over 90% of exam in any subjects at school. At that time, I could not understand her mind.

My grandfather was a shopkeeper to sell shoes in my hometown. I often ask him many questions about something old , which I cannot see in the present. One of impressive tale is that the economical depression in Japan before my father was born was so serious that people cannot obtain anything. People could not get not only food but also clothes, so some people were emaciated as if would almost starve. Recent people are indulgent for economical situations and lack to strive to overcome their financial problems.
It is exactly right, I think.

My grandmother, the wife of the grandfather, passed way when I was a small child. It was because of heart attack. According to my father, she was such a thoughtful and broad-minded woman that she treat whoever came to their shoes shop. For example, she served even foods for such a people in spite of not having much food for her family. It seemed that she wanted to relieve their fatigue and hungriness. Actually, even though the shop located in a town, it was hard for them to go there due to the lack of transportation unlike nowadays public vehicle system. Thus, I guess that she would like to do something for them comprehending their staff.

Each of my family member has strong personality, I cannot say everything.

TAKE

Take : A Day in My life (0)

I would wake up refreshed in the morning during student term, but, actually, I often slept late to go to school. I attempted to wake up with an alarm clock on mobile phone. However, It was no way, because once I woke up in order to stop the alarm, and then I slept again very quickly saying to my mind on my bed " just 5 min or 10 min.....zZZ". I commuted by train. After I woke up, I took a shower, and skipped breakfast usually. When I went to school, I optimistically enjoy sunshine and the morning atmosphere on the street like indicating the start of a day without dashing to station despite being late for classes. Even though I had enough time to sleep at home, I could not help dozing in class. After school, I went to other university so that I joined a club where student could sing songs with guitar, I went to Shibuya, which is one of bustling areas in Tokyo, in order to train my singing skill in voice training school, or I hung out with my friends to dining bars and Karaoke.

After I became a worker, I had never waken up refreshed. Instead, I begun a day like a machine, or a robot. With a cup of iced coffee, ridiculously in all seasons, and a loaf of bread, I woke up from 6:00 to 6:30 a.m., and I arrived at the hospital of dental university until 8:00. I have never been late for my work even if train had accident such as being overdue. I hardly have lunch so as to treat patients as many as I can. My friends told me that it was hard for them to imagine such my style toward job thanks to the laziness of my student life. After finishing clinical work, almost at 5:30 p.m., I studied something beneficial for patients in the library, or I made treatment plan and something artificial for patient. Moreover, I hold two study groups after daytime work. One of them is to enhance our craft for young doctors. The other one is to study and comprehend dental work for students in the university. Therefore, my arrival time to get home was usually the next day. In other wards, I had served over the date line.

Take
My name was not named after someone. My father just though that he wanted to name me a rare name as a Japanese man. Actually, my full first name is rare, so I have just met only a guy who has the same name once.

Officially, I study medicine with an emphasis on dentistry. My major is complete denture technology, the study of an artificial organ for edentulous patients, as a dentist. My minor is operative dentistry, my father major, which deals with filling technology including aesthetic field. My father says to me that my technique becomes better and better, but it doesn't link my wage. I should study management as the future president of my father's and mother's dental offices.

When I was a university student, I belonged to photo club in the university. I often traveled several places from domestic rural locations to foreign cities with two or three cameras. In dune, I likened people who visited it for sightseeing as inorganic objects on astronomical particles to take artful pictures, while I stood on a big street in order to take energetic photos that people were bustling in Manhattan, NY. To save money for travels, I worked for public pool as a life-gurd thanks to the experience that I was a swimmer during high school.

I have a taste for singing songs with guitar. I have sung on the street in Tokyo. In other wards, I was a street musician, I was not so good that I could not earn money. But it was a great experience. I also have a talent for cooking something because both of my parents were busy workers, so I have to prepare dinner by myself sometimes.

My personality take after my father in temperament. I still enhance myself to become strong-will, hardworking, patient. I tend to go against even older and authorized people if they are wrong. I have to be modest and broad-minded. My surrounding advise so. My family except me are knowledgeable. I do not know why I'm not.

That's it.

TAKE

Why does artificial teeth, denture, need pink portion? When you saw your grandmother's or grandfather's denture, you might think what is that. Actually, unless you are a dentist or a dental worker, you are not interesting in dentures. haha If you cannot help being fascinated by it, you should go into my field and be a dentist.

Please look the picture I put it on this journal. You can understand that teeth has long roots, which usually hide below gum, or periodontal tissue, your teeth as well. If teeth are lost by dental disease or extracted by dentists, that area normally decrease tissue without the full cover of regenerating tissue, because supportive bone, or alveolar bone, which surrounds each tooth, cannot regenerate without teeth, so just degenerate after losing the tooth supported by the bone. I guess that for you, here is a question how the area lost a tooth is cured. Please look the picture and focus on looking the area of the tip of teeth. You can notice that it has red area on the model. The red area has another bone, or maxillary bone, which fills up with bone cells stemming from the same original cells after the area of extraction. Simply speaking, after extraction, curing order is collecting blood, replacing the hardened blood with new cells, and compose new tissue such as gum and the bone which I mentioned. Unfortunately, new tissue level locates lower than the original level when it had a tooth. Therefore, the patients who need denture treatment need artificial pink tissue in order to make up for the lack of the tissue.

To sum up, for this mechanism, denture needs to have pink portion. As you may know, medical technology progresses everyday. However, people in current era cannot be applied teeth regenerated by new technology. Please take care of your oral condition because your teeth don't have substitution which has the function and esthetic appreciation of real teeth. Even good dentists do not have as well.

TAKE

Last sunday, I talked with a director who belong to one of departments at Harvard University and asked some questions about the graduate school because he came to Japan and visited my university.

He told me that wanted to look around Tokyo for sightseeing. I took him to Fish market, Tukiji market which is one of the biggest fish markets in the world, with my friend who is familiar with the market. There were many kinds of fish and workers who sell or buy them. Finally, we went to a Japanese restaurant, and ate fresh fish bowl (海鮮丼) . It was very delicious.

When we went back, he told me necessities for enrolling the graduate school:
TOEFL score 100
Research experience

Oh, I do not have both of them. I have been to France for 10 days. It was in the late summer, 2009. Travel always brings interesting things for me, though they may be normal for native people.

At that time, I visited the Paris University to look around educational system and know what is the main point as a subject to research and treat patients in the Paris University.

I had a problem that I could understand how to use coin laundry in Paris. First, I could not find the part to put coin to start washing. Next, after I started to wash, the laundry machine didn't stop, so it did not interchange washing mode to drying mode though it had washed for more than one hour. I said to my heart"If it did not stop forever...."I was bored, watching a beautiful street.

Interestingly, French people who go to Japanese restaurant in Paris tried to use chopsticks. When I travel, I cannot help looking for Japanese foods and Japanese restaurant. It is better for me to endure not to eat Japanese food for 3days. French people ate "Ramen" in a restaurant even if they made long line to wait to eat its Ramen. It was similar to Japanese sprit for Ramen.

Best regard
TAKE

Take : ★　”The father of Japanese animation”　★ (8)

Interestingly, people in foreign countries know Japanese animation. Even animations which I, as a Japanese person, don't know well are known to them extensively. But I've never heard his name, Osamu Tezuka(手塚 治虫), from them, although even some of them really like Japanese animations. It is not too much to say that he make not only Japanese current animation but also animations in the world. So, in this time, I write about him and his animations which I like, and I am glad that people who are interesting in Japan and Japanese animation can know it, deepen their knowledge about Japanese animations, and enjoy them more than before. I mainly note three things in this article:his background, his contribution, and my favorite one of his works.

To begin with, his backgraund is that he was born in Osaka in 1928, the second biggest city in Japan, and his family moved to Takarazuka city when he was 5 years old. At that time, Takarazuka city, approximately 20 km more western city than Osaka, was said that it had modernism, so it seemed that it was fashionable and splendid to move and live there. In addition, it has "Takarazuka Revue"(Please check it out using search engine) in which only actresses have performed entertainments since 1914. It is know as the place where beautiful women and handsome women act after they graduated from Takarazuka music school beyond strict entrance examination and hard lessons. It is still now popular in Japan. He grew up in modern time before World War Ⅱ, watching Disney movies, Chaplin's movies, and Takarazuka Revue shows. He also read manga such as Norakuro. It is because his family was rich, and his father like something new. Therefore, he was able to touch cameras which are very precious products then. In addition, one of his friends in his elementary school make him curious to know science, entomology, and astronomy. It is said that he started to draw his animations(Manga) around 2nd grade of elementary school. In the 1940's, he experienced the Second World War, so he confronted the pathetic sights of war. In 1945, the age of terminating the war, he was seventeen years old. Needless to say these influences at the time when he was young, such as family's circumstance, friendship, and the Second World War, affected his animations. Surprisingly, the year of the Second World War ended, he enrolled medical school in oder to become a doctor.

Second, his contribution is that he developed Japanese animation, especially TV animation, which you watch in your country as Walt Disney did so in the US. In the 1950's, you had already built up the success position as a cartoonist. Also, he received a medical license in 1953, though he must have been busy. In 1961 he established an animation division on his production, so he started to make Japanese animation. It was not first trial in Japan to make animation. Why is he said "The father of Japanese animation" specially? As long as I know, I guess that the reason has his three innovations: commercialization, expression, theme. First, he had competitive consciousness on making animation. So that, he contracted a TV production cheaply because he thought that other animation product did not follow him to make animations if he make TV animation by low cost. It looked kind of monopoly. Actually, it made his production difficult to make animation because of human resource against the amount of task. His animation division had only 6 staves. At that time, it was not usual for a cartoonist to have employees like company and organize production. This fact may prove his commercialization. Next, he make use of new methods for the expression of animation. One of the new methods is limited animation. This method is to limit the number of original pictures to compose animation. Making animation needed numerous pictures due to the lack of computer technology in the past. Although it was ironically generated by his trial to make animation cheaply, it affected toward both the procedure of making animation and how to illustrate scenes on animation. Finally, his theme on animation was wide. For example, he made first Japanese full color TV animation "Junguru Taitei(Japanese title)" or "Kimba the White Lion(English)", awarded by Mostra Internazionale d'Arte Cinematografic. Its theme is "animal". His most famous animation, "ASTRO BOY", deal with robot and future as a theme. However, some critics mention that his animations are on pessimism. It seems that his experience of the cruel war reflected his work, though it is said that he deliberately took advantage of pessimistic expression as to entice the audience to be impressed. For these innovation, he led the new way of animation in Japan,so animation was greatly popularized by him. Therefore, he is called "the father of animation".

Finally, my favorite one of his works is "Black Jack". I have loved it since the time when I, 15 years old, stealthily read it which my sister possessed on her room. The protagonist is a unlicensed doctor, but he is a skilled doctor. This story provide a chance for me to think about ethics, humanity, and right and wrong, etc. It also became animation from a cartoon, so you can watch this animation with YOUTUBE, fortunately, in English. One of the characters, a cute girl "Pinoko", may attract you, saying "Acchonburike". I do not know the meaning of this word. Check it out.

For the above-mentione items, I hope that you are familiar with Japanese animation more. Interestingly, Miyazaki Hayao, the director of Studio Ghibli, inc which made "Totoro" and other famous animation movies, criticizes Osamu Tezuka as a person who made animation. why? Oh-oh, time is up. I will tell you next time.

Sincerely
TAKE

Take : JAPAN confront to "dU = δQ - δW", along with the Earth. (1)

Hi everyone.
What's going on?

Spring is coming to Japan. Our county, Japan, has many kinds of cherry blossom桜 such as Kawatsu zakura 河津桜, Someiyoshino染井吉野, Yaezakura八重桜, and Shibazakura芝桜. Mainly, we hold some events and parties under cherry blossom when Someiyoshino fully blooms. At that time, we drink alcohol and eat something, enjoying watching them and talking with friends.

My friend tell me a great site for foreigners who like Japan.
Check it out!: https://www.ana-cooljapan.com/
It seems that one of Japanese air companies makes this content for its advertisement, but it is good for you to know current Japan.

Nowadays, News broadcast in Japan tell us that Japanese government try to increase taxation and discuss how we deal with nuclear power plants in Japan. Almost all of them stop to be examined their condition now. Some experts concern about the amount of electricity for this summer. According to the research of public opinion, most Japanese people disagree with continuing to use them thanks to radioactive problem on Fukushima nuclear power plant. Moreover, Some of nuclear power plants, controlled correctly until now, have the probability that their internal body has damaged because of brittle fractures. As you know, this phenomenon is like an iced glass cup is easily broken by pouring hot water into it. (does not experiment it, good boy and girl) Nuclear power plant has containers in which nuclear reactions occur, and this container is always exposed to crucial gap of temperature. Even tough metal from which the container made is easily damaged and become vulnerable. Unfortunately, It is hard to examine this problem and it take long time to do it because the container hold dangerous matter in it. How do we do?

Oh-oh time to sleep.
Energy control is difficult, isn't it?
For instance, when you reject cars which use oil, you probably choose to use electricity instead of oil. However, how is the electricity generated? If oil put into the action of power plants, it is contradiction.... By the way, where is the energy we ever consumed? As you know, "the law of conservation of energy" is proven. It is really? Our surrounding is open or close? I wish I could ask Einstein.

TAKE

Take : 〜じしん〜Why does Japanese earthquake often happen?　 (7)

More than ten times of earthquakes have happened nearby one of my friends home town since yesterday. One of them was with over seismic intensity of 5, so I could not help calling her. Fortunately, she did not have any problems about her hometown. As you know, it is normal for Japan to have earthquakes. However, do you know why does Japanese earthquake often happen? I explain it here. There are two reasons: plates, volcanoes.

The first reason is that Japan locates on the Earth, affected by the four plates: Pacific plate, North American Plate, philippine plate, and Eurasian plate. Strictly speaking, Japan continent is situated on three plates: North Amrican Plate, philippine plate, and Eurasian plate, and Pacific plate spread the east of Japan. 3.11. earthquake in Japan happened between Pacific plate and North American plate. These plates always move like lives dwell, so occur many earthquake from small one to big one.

The other reason is that there are volcanos in Japan. Even though we enjoy hot springs in our country, ironically it is because volcanos are active. Even Mt Fuji, the biggest and highest(3667m) mountain in Japan which I safely climbed two years ago, still keep active. In other wards, it has often erupted and occurred earthquakes before the prehistoric age. Japanese volcanoes are said that they related with the action of the plates. According to data by seismologists in Japan, they tend to erupt after big earthquakes happened by moving plates. For example, there are somewhat big earthquake on the foot of Mt. Fuji after 3.11.earthquake.

To sum up, main two geographic situations, such as plants, and volcanoes, cause Japanese earthquakes. They have always not only contributed Japanese ruin directly, but also left really grief in our heart. However, I want you to know that a part of Japanese culture has the history that our ancestor prayed even earthquake as a god to appreciate nature, and we have always reconstructed our heart more strongly as well as Japanese historical buildings whenever we confront tremendous disasters.

P.S. Thank you for great support for 3.11.earthquake.

Our planet always assigns endless homework, right?
Sincerely
TAKE

Take : We are a spices which cannot judge good or bad without comparing something　　〜あいのうた〜 (12)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zL9GzM7dQi4&feature=related

My sister used to sing this song in our house in the countryside, switching on a rice cooker, cleaning rooms, and playing piano, so I would heard it when I was young. I recalled this song and the memory.

She has two sons now. When I think about it, I always have a feeling that I admire her because it is not easily to bear and bring up them.At such times, I also noticed that my parents must have been weary to raise four children, especially me because I was not a good boy.

Majority of creatures are born as undeveloped state. Even a small seed has overflowing possibility and inevitable weakness. At the very second when we were born, we were not said to "Live " or "Survive", but we seemed to know that we had to live and survive without a purpose or having itself as a purpose.

Now, are you losing possibilities which were too enough and replacing uncontrollable weakness into firm strength? Are we just making implements to hide our weakness and guiltiness around ourselves?

We are a spices which cannot judge good or bad without comparing something, so I want to put my gratitude on the scene which is familiar to me, such as nature, people, and even air, without comparing.

It is said " japanese people are very shy, so they communicate foreigners poorly. Thus, they cannot improve English skill efficiently." I do not think that it is totally true because each country has nation who has many kinds of personalty, such as shy, positive, negative, friendly etc, and whether people try to communicate foreigners depends on respective personality. Well then, why is it hard for Japanese native speakers, especially domestic people, to speak and listen in other languages such as English? There are three reasons: education, phonetic difference, and Japanese society.

First, English education in Japan focus on grammar. For example, when I was a public junior high school student, my English class Just read text book and learned how to compose English sentences. We had never written a paragraph like this one, but I have written simple sentences. Even though grammar and material to read became more difficult in my high school, the education concentrate on grammar and read. I had never take speaking test, but we had often taken grammatical test and reading test. According to my memory, I seems that English teacher could not speak English so well.

Second, Japanese language is totally phonetic difference from any other language. For instance, Korean language and Chinese language, which they are neighbors for Japan, have pronounce method similar to English, but Japanese one doesn't have. Last year, I noticed that while I was learning English with various countries' classmates. One of my Korean friends said to me that my "Kimchi" pronunciation was wrong, and "Lobster" , which is very popular to eat in Boston, is as well. At that time, I found that Japanese said like "Kimchi" is "Kimuchi" and "Lobster" is "Lobusutar." Most of domestic Japanese native speakers cannot know or understand the differences. Strictly speaking, we always pronounce each sound of word clearly, not using our tongue and mouth specially. As you know, we do not have "L" and "R". Other language which have pronunciation with such "L" and "R" or something special for not them but us. Moreover Japanese language have just 5 vowels, but English had approximate 30 vowels. These vowels in English are important to indicate the differences of each definition of words. Therefore, it is hard for us to listen and speak such sounds unless we practice it.

Finally, Japanese society does not recognize necessity to study other languages unless people keep living in Japan. Even though the number of young people to go to study abroad shortly is increasing, actually the number of people to enroll foreign school as regular programs is decreasing. I'm not sure why, but I guess that it is because our county have depression or Japanese people, including me, become lazy thanks to inefficient education. Especially, my hometown, rural area, does not have a chance to speak foreigners because of the lack of sightseeing spot and something like that.

In conclusion, why Japanese native speakers to speak and listen in other languages such as English is hard is for these the quality of education, linguistic difficulty, and Japanese surroundings. Although I cannot help exemplifying these reasons as a part of fact in Japan, I want to believe whether people can use languages or not depends on not age and these reasons but people's consciousness and emotion. As long as time allow us, we can learn and speak every language because of same creature as human being.

Attention, this content is in my personal view.
It might improve education system after I graduated school. I hope so.

Kimchi→”m”pronunciation was difficult for me.
Lobster→At first time, I pronounced "b" into"bu". When this this word is pronounced by people, "b"is similar to pronunciation like mouth shape is the shape of "p" without making the sound.

I never give up. TAKE.

Today, it is snowing in Tokyo.
It somewhat occurs the confusion of traffic there.
A news program on TV reported that a few people slipped up and broke their legs. Ouch!

Moreover, Tokyo Sky Tree, the tallest tower in the world, was completed there. As a building, it is the second highest one in the world. You will be able to look around Tokyo and great view. If you are lucky, you also see Mt Fuji form there. I have to tell you, this tower is so strong against earthquakes that it withstood the big earthquake which happened on 11th March last year despite under construction. It said that this tower is super safety.

Tokyo waits for spring and you.(ー▼-)ノcome on~~~♬
