Recently it is thought that people would rather go to the country side for a holiday, because it is believed a big city like London are quite busy and stressful. London is one of the most busiest city in the world, and it is crowded as well. However, my perfect holiday destination is London.
I have been living in London for about 8 months, so I do know why it is suitable for a holiday. Firstly, London has everything whatever you want. For example, here is lots of grocery stores or restaurants, so you can buy and eat everything.It is pretty difficult in country side, because shops in the countryside closed early. Secondly, London has a lot of place for night views such as London Eye, Big Ben, and Tower bridge. If you saw that night views, you would fall in love with London.
There are more examples of describing London, but I also have other special reason about choosing London for the perfect holiday. Specially people who live in London are very nice not only local people but also foreigners. A lot of people from other countries are living in London, so you might see multicultural city. You could make friends from other countries, and I think it is more exciting than having only sightseeing.

I am writing to complain about your hotel's service and facilities. I am sorry to have to tell you that when I stayed there it was dreadful because of the receptionist. He was rude and didn't take care of his customers. The facilities in the hotel were absolutely awful. I went to the toilet in order to wash my hands, but I was impossible because there were a number of insects on the tap. Furthermore, I paid more than I had expected. When I arrived at the hotel, the receptionist said that the price of the hotel had increased the day before.
I must insist on you refunding all of my money by the end of this month. Should you refund my money, I will not upload the review of your hotel on the Internet.

On the other hand, some people always tell the truth as if they are in the situation what I said, because they think telling a lie is wrong even though its the 'White lie'.
In conclusion, I believe that white lies sometimes need in our lives in order to live without troubles. However, we should use white lies properly.

I lived in Seoul, the capital of South Korea. I prefer the big city, so I do love my hometown. Citizens can get everything whatever they want, and whenever they want because most shops open until midnight, and some shops are open 24hours not only Mcdonalds but also grocery stores. And my hometown isn't boring because there are lots of things to do. For example, there are a lot of karaokes, pubs, clubs and so on.
There are also lots of breathtaking views even though there're are too many skyscrapers. For instance, people can see the whole city on the top of the tallest building in Seoul.
But Seoul has some disadvantages as well.There is too much trafics, so people end up fighting for place in the transportation when they commute. And Seoul has lots of pollution and population too, so people can fell stressed easily. Moreover, there are lots of towering buildings, so citizens can't see the sky properly. I think it makes people fell stress too.

I can watch for free in my house from my laptop, but I prefer to watch in the cinema. The thing is that cinema has a huge screen, so it is much easier for focusing on the movie than the laptop. An atmosphere in the cinema is quite different. I can't explain exactly, but it has far much better the atmosphere.
However, it happened when I was in Korea, these days I don't go to the cinema because the price of the movie ticket is expensive in London, and I can download or watch the new movie for free and it is much easier. A few months ago, I went to the cinema once, but it was horrible. The screen was really small even though it was the 3D movie. I disappointed about it, that's why I usually watch the movie in my house.

When I am on a holiday, I usually go somewhere because I don't like wasting time in a bed.
Some people think that the best holiday is taking a rest and sleep a lot in their house. But I do not agree with this opinion because this is just waste time. I can take rest on the beach bed, or other new places not only my bed. I think I should do productive things on holiday because it is kind of the chance to do new things. That's about it.

Second, I am travelling to Barcelona in the end of September, because I want to enjoy the last summer in the beach before the autumn comes. And I think travelling and swimming is the best way to enjoy this summer. It is just one plan about travelling. I'm thinking about other trips to other European countries as well, because the summer is the best season for travelling.
Third, I will have started new hobby, salsa dance, by this summer. I'm really into dance since I watched a movie about the dancing. But I don't have a chance to learn dancing properly, so I am going to challenge it soon.

Korean English education was totally awful because teachers only taught skills of exam for good score. So I didn't have any chance to speak English, and I didn't like English at all. But I have learned real English for 6 months, and I do love English and enjoy studying it too.

Q. How useful do you think Enlgih is?
If I study English, I can get lots of benefits. I think the most useful benefit is communication. If I know English, I can communicate with all the people in the world because English is a common language all over the world. When I travelled other countries, I felt this benefit. I can order the menu, and I can ask the route to the people. Moreover, I can share my thinking with foreign friends.

I Think scientists might have discovered a time machine by 2050, so people will be able to travel to the past or the future. But I reckon it will be expensive, so it will be just for the rich. By 3050, the price of the machine will have decreased.


I am staying in Korea in the next summer. I reckon I won't be able to enjoy the summer in the beach, because I will be working, and I will be studying English as well.


I think mosquitos will have become extincted by 2050 because of the temperature of the Earth. The temperature will have been increasing and the earth will have a serious pollution , so mosquitos won't able to be born. Moreover, lots of insect will have become extincted too.


My birthday is next Tuesday, so I am going to celebrate my birthday with my friends. I am watching a musical Lion King with my boyfriend, and after watching the musical we are going to take a London Eye.

His name is Benedict Cumberbatch and he played Sherlock Holmes in BBC drama.
His face is long and he has a fair skin tome. He also has black hair. He used to maintain
curly hair for playing that character. He has got green eyes and his eyebrows are quite bushy. His nose is quite large but it is not too big.
I don't know his real personality, so I am going to explain his character personality in the Sherlock(Drama name is Sherlock). He's detective, so he is suspicious person who always tries to find strange things and when he find something strange, he stays stoical face even if he faced a murder case. He is not obedient person, so he always insists his own opinion but he is correct so far. He is honest person who always says true story, so sometimes people misunderstand or don't like him.

I went to other Europe countries for 3 weeks.
I travelled Germany, the Czech Republic, Austria and Italy so I have been more than 10 cities.
It was amazing so I won't forget forever.
My new English class starts tomorrow so I should study again. My new class is Cambridge exam class so it is quite hard.
When I was travelling, most people didn't know English very well, so I couldn't practice English and writing as well.
I will try to write Lang-8 every single day again.

My travelling finished but it is another start :D

But I have changed my mine because the Olympic games are really exciting.
I watched the Korean's Olympic football match today.
Korean team should win because last match was draw, so it was really important.
I cheered with drinking beer and it was so exciting, and we won in the game!
And Korea got the gold medal in women's archery too.
I am going to watch another football match directly in the stadium on Wednesday.
I am expecting we will win!

If I have enough money, I want to watch this again.
I recommend you watch this musical :)

It is my favourite Japanese food so I am happy because I know the recipe of this.
It wasn't hard so I could remember easily and I can make it myself someday.
After the cooking lesson, we talked about the Korean food and the Taiwanese food.
Taiwanese food is quite new for me like a pig blood cake.
It looked like normal black cake or black ice cream but it was the cake.
I might not like this food because I don't like food witch was made by bloods.
But we had lots of fun because talking about other countries food was really nice.

I want to try to make other Japanese food as well myself.
I am not good at cooking but I will try it someday.

It has been rainy most of days for 5 month since I came here, so I have missed sunny days a lot. Today was like a miracle, so I hung out with my classmates to the Hyde park after finishing our class.
Hyde park is my favourite park in London, and it has lots of plants and places to sit.
It also has huge river, so I can take a boat in the river.
I bought some food for lunch, and we sat down on the grass.
I enjoyed wind, sunshine and smell of plants and flowers.
It was such a nice day, and I wish sunny day would continue for a long time.
But I should rub the sun cream on my skin because the sunshine is really strong :)

It is quite different from McDonald's chips.
The UK chips are really thick, but McDonald's chips are thin.
When I went to London first, I was surprised because of thick chips.

There are thick chips in Korea too, but appearance is quite different.

Anyway, I am addicted by chips. I want to eat this everyday.
But If I eat this everyday, I will be fat like a pig.

But my favourite Korean football player Ji-sung Park has moved his team to Queen's Park.
His ex-team was Manchester United, and he played very well in that time.
Queen's park Stadium isn't far from my house, so I went to the stadium by the bus.
Stadium was quite old, but I satisfied with J.S.Park uniform.
My boyfriend bought it, and he looked happy.
I wanted buy some one, but it was rip-off to me.
I might have bought it for my younger brother before I go back to Korea.

That's why I wasn't a snob. Young girls used to be a snob, I think that the reason is the princess stories. Most young girls watched princess stories a lot, after that they wanted to be a princess, and they want to buy princess stuffs like dulls or princess dress.
In my case, I used to want to buy Lego instead of dulls. I think I was affected by animations which I watched.
When I hung out with my friends, I used to play in the playground, and I played active things like riding a bicycle. I didn't like playing princess playing. Princess playing is the game, for example I act in the Snow white, and another friend act in the prince. (If I played this kind of things, I might have acted the prince) Usually, girls like this game, and all of girls want to act princess, so girls fight because of princess role.
Now, I think my active youth is better than snob youth, and active person and quite manly girl is more brave and more attractive :)

I heard about stereotypes about Koreans from friends of other countries.
And now, I would like to think about typical things of Koreans.
First, We have a lot of community spirit, so we always help each other. For example, when we make a food, we give it our neighbors. But, It is quite past story, because we are really busy these days, so community spirit is disappearing.
Second, we have strong patriotic.
Third, we think that etiquette is really important. When we always care other people, and we considerate other people. But, I think it is also past story. These days, some of them are selfish. We usually do hardworking, so it has competition. That's why some of them are selfish and community spirit is disappearing.

I do not believe psychics too much, I just wanted to believe psychics when they told me good things. I didn't go to real psychics, I just have been to tarot reader a few times. Because I was wondering whether they are true or not, and some of my friends are believe that, so I would go there with my friends.
(In Korea, people usually go to there because of curious)
I reckon that they only have a good sense about reading someone's face,feeling from their voices,clothes and expressions, not six-sense.
In Korea, we have a Korean fortune-teller who has the six-sense. I think some of them are real, and some of them are fake. Lots of people go to the fortune-teller for asking everything. For example, people ask to them about their jobs, fund, marriage, work etc.
I want to go to fortune-teller for asking about my life, but my parents don't believe and like that. So I am wondering if they are real or not. Sometimes I would watch a programme about Korean fortune-teller on telly. It looked like real, so I wanna meet them.
But even though they tell me good things and bad things, I shouldn't believe everything.
I should just accept that like an advice.

After the working, manager checked the number which is finished the survey. People were usually slam down the phone, so I couldn't finish the survey.
I worked for 8 hours each day, and I used to say same things to people like a survey machine.
A lot of people quit, because it was really stressful and it doesn't have a chance to laugh or joke with my colleges. I had to drink lots of hot water, because I had a sore throat.
In addition, I had to take a medicine for my throat. I was awful, but I tried to have a patient, and I finished that part time job. In that week, I couldn't do anything and I just wanted to crash out, because I was totally exhausted after working.
But It had a good pay, so I beard one week. And I do not want to work there anymore.

So, I am really happy talking about Korean things, and I wanted to make some Korean food for her. That's why I invited her to my house.
I tried to make Korean cold noodles, and it was my first time. I was so confused about recipe and quantities of water. I awkward about cooking, so I was embarrassed when I cooked it.
I couldn't believe myself, and I really worried about tasting.
Finally I made it, but I was disappointed. It wasn't the worst, but I wanted to make it perfect. My friend ate everything, even though it wasn't good. So I was happy :)

I determined I won't make difficult food again.
I will try more easier food next time.
We will eat pork belly on a hot grill. It is just need pork belly and the grill.
It is easy, and I have grilled it before :)
I hope I will succeed next time.

However,I was absolutely disappointed about Cambridge.
Because the weather was totally terrible:( it was raining when I arrived there.
And when we go to a punting departure, it was heavy raining too.
It was raining whole day in Cambridge, so I couldn't do anything whatever I want.
I really wanna see the bridge of mathematics and the bridge of sighs during the punting.
Now, I am totally depressed, but I have just one happy thing.
I met my best friend from Spain. She is my friend in my uni, and she is a exchange student who is studying in Spain, and she came to London for visiting me. We made a plan to Cambridge together. Even though we couldn't enjoy time in Cambridge, we were happy spending time together. We haven't met more than six months. I came back to London again, and she is staying in Cambridge for 1 day. We have met a few hours, however we are going to Germany October festival together :-) I am really expecting it will be better than today.
