I attend an English translation class every Wednesday.

毎週水曜日に英語翻訳教室に通っています。

In that class, we have some kinds of lessons.

教室では数種類のレッスンをします。

You hear English and translate it into Japanese, and other way around, Japanese into English.

英語を聞いて日本語に翻訳したり、逆に日本語を英語に翻訳したりします。

It is harder for me to translate Japanese into English than English into Japanese.

英語を日本語にするよりも、日本語を英語にするほうが難しいです。

Especially today, I had trouble doing it.

今日は特に難しかったです。

I felt like my brain stalled.

脳がエンストしてるような気がしました。

It seems like my English is still on the stage of bubbling.

私の英語はまだバブバブ言ってる段階みたいです。バブバブ…。

    "on the stage of bubbling" doesn't make sense to me. Is it a Japanese idiom? I'm not sure if English has a similar idiom.

Thank you for the correction!

I wanted to say that my English is still like "baby talk", something like "赤ちゃん言葉の段階".
"Babu-babu（バブバブ）" is an onomatopoeia which refers to the sound of baby talk.

That class seems quite hard - a bit like the Callan method. Don't be too hard on yourself - you are doing well!.

I thought we always step "on" or stand "on" a stage. But here I should say '"in" the stage of an infants babbling'... Hmm, interesting.
I guess "my English still seems like 'baby talk'" is more common?

Thanks for encouraging. Yes, I really felt like I was saying "バブバブ、アワワ", when the teacher asked me if I knew about the tragedy of the Titanic. I knew that there were some theories for why the vessel sank. But I couldn't put them into English.

I think I should enjoy learning English.

You can use "on" with the word "level". "It seems like my English is still on the level of a baby's babbling" for example.
The word "stage" can also describe a physical thing which you can "step on". The "stage" used in this sentence refers to a child's "stage of development" which is not something you can step on, but move through (that's why I used "in".) I hope that is helpful.

The English equivalent of "バブバブ、アワワ" is "Goo goo, ga ga". I sure there are many variations - but this is basically represents a baby's speech.
