My best friend has a little girl who is 2 years old. Sometimes she is very funny. Sometimes she is very silent.
One day, the girl was sitting on the floor palying something. My friend was cleaning the floor and complaining adout the dirty floor. He said, "If I knew earlier cleaning it would be so hard. I would never bought such the big house."
This time, the girl seemed to understand what an adult said. She stood up slowly and staggered towards her dad. She looked at her dad strangely and said to him. " Would you want to let me do it?"

Might She Understand What an Adult Said?
One day, the girl was sat on the floor while playing something. ("was sitting on the floor playing" would work too)
My friend was cleaning the floor and complaining about the size of the floor.
He said "If I knew earlier cleaning it would be so hard,
I would never have bought such a big house."
This time, the girl seemed to have understood what an adult said.
She looked at her dad strangely and said to him:
"Would you want to let me do it?"
Daww! Let the girl do cleaning. Just not the stoves or cupboards. Too dangerous.
"Would you want to let me do it?" would imply bad things or ill-will if such a thing were to occur. The girl could hold a grudge later or simply think it is ill-advised.
One day, the girl sat on the floor while playing with something.
My friend was cleaning the floor and complaining about the dirt/floor.
Sometimes she is very funny and at other times she is very quiet..
He said, "If I early knew to do it so hard." (Rules to remember: 1) close your quotation marks (I always forget that myself), 2) use a space after a comma (but before opening parenthesis).)
