I have been learning different verbs, adjectives and nouns with prepositions since last month, about ten words a day. Today is the eighteenth day. I have already learnt many useful words. I try to use them in my daily life. I note down the sentences with new words in my notebook and read them during my work day.
Initially I was going to learn all common words with prepositions in a month. However, it was found that the list of the new words was a large and I increased the term. In addition, my English course in language school will have been drawn out by the end of May. So I have a few time.
I'm currently a student of the intermediate level. I want to improve my vocabulary to the end of the level so I plug away at learning words with prepositions every day.
P.S. Here are some sentences with new words.
Beware of falling asleep while sunbathing.
My mum always comment on what I'm wearing.
We can now communicate instantly with people on the other side of the world.
I'm going to concentrate on learning new words.

"Mum" is very European. "Mom" is American.
The Eighteenth Day (In American English, we tend to capitalize titles, but not the 'little words' that come after the first word, words like 'to, a, the, and, etc.') I hope that this makes sense.
I have already learnt many useful words.
"Learned" is another version of that past participle which is probably more used than "learnt."
Initially, I was going to learn all of the common words with prepositions in a month.
When you start a sentence with an adverb (like you did here) you have to include a comma afterwards. Also, you have to include "of the" between "all _ common" for grammatical reasons, but also because "all common words with prepositions..." is a huge statement (not that you couldn't do it, personally, but that no one could, languages being as large as they are.)
However, it was found I realized that the list of the new words was a too large and I increased the term length of time I was going to study them.
In American English (and probably British English, too) the passive voice is avoided at all costs. What is the passive voice? The following sentence is an example - "We were invited by our neighbors to attend the party." The sense of action is very weak if present at all. You can say, "I realized" or "I noticed" to talk about how you realized that the list was too long.
Unfortunately, I don't think the neat little word 'term' can be used to describe the period of time in which you will be studying these words. You have to explain it.
