I often see people sending and receiving text massages from a cell phone or other devices when they are on a train or a bus, even when they walk on a street. I think that they want to make contact with their family, close friends or friends on Lang-8 all the time, and I'm not the exception.
When you get on Lang-8, you are happy to receive a lot of feedback such as corrections, suggestions and encouragement. When you feel that you are connected with other people, you feel secure and great satisfaction, don't you?
Text messages have enabled us to communicate easily and more efficiently worldwide. It's a real thrill to see them everyday and I'm excited at the thought of being connected in the world.

Hi Staightforward-san, A very very nice entry. I for one am happy to be in contact with you. Phil.
Thank you for your kind words. You are the one who always encourage me to keep going.

Option: "stay in contact with ... at all times"
This is a very well written entry and I just made very minor corrections.
Yes, it's nice to make contact with other people.
Thanks for reading my diary and helping me with my Japanese!
It's my great pleasure to help you with your Japanese.

Just to have uniformity in the forms:
Security <-> satisfaction
secure <-> satisfied

Use homogeneous lists.
(-)
"... cell phone or other device ..." <--- both singular
"... cell phones or other devices ..." <--- both plural
(-)
Stay in the continuous state.
"... people sending and receiving ..., and even when they are walking"
list: "sending", "receiving", "walking".

Keep things homogeneous. "Secure" is an adjective. "Satisfaction" is a noun. "Satisfied" is a past participle as an adjective. Don't mix nouns and adjectives.
It's a real thrill to see them every day, and I'm excited by the thought of being connected to the world.
Maintaining homogeneity is not a strict rule. But, it is easy to create and sounds much better in my opinion.

I hate those touch pad keyboards, so hard to use :c.
I love my MacBook, so easy to use. Why don't you save your money and buy it? : ))
I am happy you enjoy your new computer~. Macs are nice~.
Hm, I don't know what it is, but it seems I'm not good with "notebook" computers, because my parents gave me two because I broke them so easily, so finally, they bought me a normal computer, and I must say, this one is the longest orz;;. But I know more about computer now so I think I can do a good job now. Anyways, I'll hang on to this one a while longer and buy a Mac when I'm older 8).
You are good at using computers, and definitely you know more about computer than me.
Probably if you get higher scores at school, your parents'll give you a new one. :D
Wahaha ; v ;! I generally run in the other direction when something goes wrong, and then try to fix it lol. Are you the same or stronger xD?
Yeah haha 8D! But they bought me this one last year~~. I'm content for now~.
Well there is one drawback with the text-messaging boob, especially when you're in a car-centric society like the one I'm living in. People would often text and drive, and I often find myself watching out for people who just don't pay attention to the road while they are fiddling around with their smartphones, lol.
Thanks for reading my entry. ^^
I've never yet taken for granted that I am able, at the simple push of a few keyboard keys, to have "close," wonderful international friends via things like Skype and Lang-8. For me, it's amazing, each day.
The technology world's progress curve is almost perpendicular with improvements. It's so easy to see the world and converse with the world's people!
But, yes, it's a double-edged sword, too. Drivers texting, too-young students in class texting (not to mention "sexting" ...) each other. We're getting more and more "consumed" by all this, ne.
Smart phones have replaced "blankies" (baby blankets; baby must have, hold to his/her cheek) and "binkies" (those plastic fake nipples babies suck on).
Whaaaahh! I want my smart phone! Can't live a minute without it!"
kanashii/nagekawashii, desune ...
It seems everything in life has its good and bad points, potentials.
My mother who is in the middle of 70's likes to use her smart phone. I think you'll like it.
When I use Lang-8, I've never used my smart phone. Its screen is too small.
By the way, ""blankies" and ""binkies" are baby talks?
Maybe it was a trade name -- "the Binky Corporation, makers of "binkies." I jest, but I really don't know the "binky" origination. My 3,000-pound (OK, you know we like to exaggerate) Oxford American Dictionary does not have "binky" in it.
Which reminds me: Thirty-six years ago, our 3-year-old son had never really said much of anything. A word here. A word there. We were getting kind of worried.
One day, he nonchalantly turned and asked, "Mommy, I want my 'bah' [blankie] for I think I am about to become unhappy." Those were his exact words. His first full sentence. We've never forgotten it.
Next, he began reading kids' books to his older cousins and ordering from menus when we would go out to eat, flabbergasting the waiters and waitresses. ;-)
I'd like to make such remarkable progress! ^^
