I read a book on speech writing yesterday. I learned a new word, "sound-bite" in the book.
I cannot come up with any good examples of sound-bites of Japanese politicians. I only remember that a phrase used in a promotion campaign by Mr. Abe, "Beautiful country, Japan", around in 2006.
This phrase seemed too vague to convey anything.
I guess that the aim of using sound-bites is not to convey information or concrete messages, but to attract public attention.
