I live in Seoul, Korea.

I've moved here apartment ten years ago.
But this area had built in 20 years old ,so very worn-out.
I renovated this whole areas including bathroom, kitchen, living room . That has all changed new fashion from old things.
At first I put up natural thick wooden flooring instead of imitated wooden thin skin.
And I changed all door and wallpapering that looks clean white color from dark brown tone. New furniture and wardrobe has been new built or purchased . Of course ceiling system and ceiling paper were changed by myself.
The tile of wall and floor in bathroom replaced much better big size beige color and bathtub was put new style.
After all changed those look good on me.
My wife and children have been lots of satisfied with that.
They said that they don't envy even deluxe hotel which has to be spent 1,000 $ per one night like royal suites.
I'm very happy whenever heard from them.
I'm an architect .

solano : commencement (0)

I heard that J.K Rowling's Harvard University commencement through internet radio yesterday.
I was moved deeply by her seech.

There is an expire date on blaming your parents for steering you in the wrong direction; the moment you are old enough to take the wheel, responsibility lies with you. What is more, I cannot criticise my parents for hoping that I would never experience poverty. They had been poor themselves, and I have since been poor, and I quite agree with them that it is not an ennobling experience.
Poverty entails fear, and stress, and something depression; it means a thousand pretty humiliation and hardships. Climbing out of poverty by your own efforts, that is something on which to pride yourself. but poverty itself is romanticized only by fools.

solano : The fried chicken (1)

I love to eat fried chicken.
Fried chicken is an incredibly popular snack meal in Korea. Although people order it all year-round. it's especially popular during the summer or during sporting events. Most fried chicken places offer delivery services. Some places are open around the clock, There are a variety of menus to choose from. You can get the standard fried chicken or the marinated one. You can also choose the roasted chicken. If you can't make up your mind, you can go with the half the wings of drumsticks. The pickled radish cub thar come along with each order really go well with the fried chicken.
I enjoy eating marinated chicken than fried one with red wine.

solano : Management fees (0)

I live in an apartment nearby Han River in Seoul .
If you live in an apartment , you get an invoice for your management fee every month. The bill covers your electricity, water, cleaning, maintenance, and security fee. All the miscellaneous things we don't even think about are also listed on the invoice. This includes fees for basic TV reception, elevator usage, and food waste collection. The bill doesn't include things like your gas and phone gills though.
Those need to be paid separately . Other services like cable or satellite TV, high-speed Internet access, and newspapers require separate payment as well. Many households pay eir management fee through automatic bank transfer.
In my case, my wife takes care of our apartment management fee. I'm not aware of that correctly be paid every month. But I guess that she pay about 4-500$ for a month for only apartment management fee.

solano : Cutting salt might increase heart risks. (6)

I like to eat ethnic food.
The most Korean people love the traditional dish. There are many kind of ethnic food in Korea.
For example , Kimchi, Bulgogi. Kalbi. Bibimbab.and so on.
Korean food contains a lots of salt.
A new study casts doubt on the merits of reducing salt in our diet.
The reachers found that a modest lowering of blood pressure may be offset by other less-desirable effects of a low-sodium diet. For years it's been part of accepted medical wisdom : reducing salt in your diet will lower your blood pressure, which lower your risk of heart attack and stroke.
Even a modest reduction for people with high blood pressure is probably a good thing, but the study also found that people on a low-sodium diet had higher levels of cholesterol , which is associated with an increased risk of heart disease.
What do you think about this ?

I heard the interview of Steve Jobs from internet -English study site yesterday.
When Steve Jobs handpicked Walter Isaacson to write his life story, he had already been diagnosed with cancer.
But after 40 interviews, the biograpy provides a vivid picture of a complicated man.

You'll hear tape recordings of Jobs himself, talking about being adopted, creating Apple and his regret over ignoring what couldn't been life-saving cancer surgery.

The last speech of Steve Jobs made me moved.
"You're born alone , you're going to die alone . And what exactly is it that you have to lose? There's nothing.
