1-. 何を食べている？ it is correct?,
( sometimes I hear some japanese say: "いるの?"
in this case i someone says "何を食べているの？" it is correct?
What does "の" mean?

2-. How do you say: "enjoy your meal" when someone is going to eat?

’の’means nothing but if you add の、sounds like more more jentler.

there is not that 'enjoy your meal' in japanese. but hmm

I cant explain that. there is something similar but...

haha,, I mean something like "bon appetit" . What about "どうぞめしあがれ" this phrase is only said by a chef?

bon appetit!! im sharing a house with some people, one of them is french guy. im learning french from him a little bit haha
no no anyway,

usally, that phrase is by chef but, in a restaurant or something, waiter and waitress like restaurant people can say that.

この場合の「の」は疑問文の最後につける助詞です。What are you eating?=何を食べているの？=何を食べているのか？(「か」より「の」のほうが優しい感じがします)

何を食べている？は語尾が疑問文の形になっていないから不自然です。最後に疑問を表す「の」や「か」をつけましょう。

Affirmative Sentence 明日図書館へ行く。 これは美味しい。 あの人は親切だ。 明日はお休みだ。
→ →
Interrogative Sentence 明日図書館へ行くの？ これ（は）美味しいの？ あの人親切なの？

  • What does "の" mean?の hides the rest of the words ですか？ I mean 何を食べているの（ですか）？A 何を食べているの？B 何を食べているのですか？these sentences almost say same meanings.but I think A is casual for your friends or a menber of the familys.B is polite for your teacher or the elder etc.but

1.『なにを食べているの？』の『の』は少し会話によったbrokenない言い方です。
他には『何を食べていますか？』丁寧な言い方だと
『何を召し上がっていますか？』など。

2."enjoy your meal "
それに対しては『召し上がれ』で返すのがいいでしょう

I use both of them !! However, I always use 何食べてるの？　何食べているの？　is also OK to me, but I usually use the first one.

Enjoy your meal!! I just say that ごゆっくり！　or 楽しんでいってらしゃい！. I'm not sure, but japanese doesn't have exact same expression.

いるの？　I usually use this phrase like those,
どこにいるの? （where are you?）何やってんの？　(what are you doing?) まじで、～さんいるの！？　（oh, really! She or He is here !!）　まじか、～さんいるの。(oh, really↘　She or He is here. OMG.)

いるの？！　
person A : Did you bring your driver's license?
person B : Do I need it today !!?? I didn't know that. OMG.
　　　　　　　え？　免許今日必要なの！！？？　知らなかった。どうしよう。
person A : Didn't you check the internet ??
Dude, you can't go into the club tonight.

Hola. well, polite suggestionだとummmm...Japanese restrant a polite clerk にもほとんど言われたことがない。"注文は以上ですね。ごゆっくりお召し上がり下さい。"だと思う。I'mconcern about my expranation.

他の人の説明を読んだら、やはり、”どうぞ召し上がれ”のほうが正しいですね。間違えてしまって、ゴメンナサイ。
