A man was looking into our classroom while I was teaching.
I thought he was a student's father or something,
but nobody in the classroom knew him.
Suddenly, he tried to come into the classroom but he couldn't.
I lock the door while I'm giving lessons in order to keep a suspicious person away.
Sometimes I forgot to lock the door, but today I did.
He grinned at us and pound the door with his fist.
When he knocked the door again, one of the student attempted to open it.
I restrained him because I felt strange.
"Excuse me, what has brought you here?"
I asked the man over the locked door.
"Why do you lock the door? You always lock it?"
He said, still trying to open it.
"Can you speak English? Foreign teachers will also come? Won't you open the door?"
He was obviously stranger. I felt a little afraid.
After that, he gave up and went away.
I heard a suspicious man was often seen around the classroom.
I must be careful.
If anything should occur, I have to protect children from danger.
I think Japan is a peaceful and safe country.
But recently I often hear very frightening affairs like indiscriminate murder cases.
I wish every person could live a peaceful life.

"I felt strange" sounds like you are sick or something.
You could say "I was suspicious" or something like that

Not sure about this sentence.
Maybe "I'm a foreign teacher." or something like that
He was obviously a stranger.
"He obviously didn't belong there"
OR
"He obviously wasn't supposed to be there."
I think these 2 sentences are better here.

I'm glad you're okay, and that you had the sense to lock the door and keep the student from letting him in.
You should call the cops and have them drive around the area to patrol it more often - then there'll be more of a chance that they'll be nearby if the guy comes back, and they can come right away. At least by making the phone call there'll be a record that you started trying to do something, then they'll take you more seriously if you have to call again someday.
