You may not know about this, but Japanese dogs are very good at mental calculation.
They might be able to calculate the four fundamental operations in arithmetic.
For example, they can answer to those questions.
1. 0.5 + 0.5 = →→→ ワン(one)
2. 3745 - 3744 = →→→ ワン(one)
3. (10^3)×(10^-3)= →→→ ワン(one)
4. 14396 ÷ 14396 = →→→ ワン(one)
See?
However, my dog, Mocha is an exception.
She seldom barks, so she can't answer to those questions.

or: "...very good at arithmetics."
They are able to calculate with/using the four fundamental operations in arithmetic.
For example, they can answer to these questions.
She seldom barks, so she can't answer them.
She doesn't bark when I tell her to >.<
Please give my (& Mocha's) best regards to Mimi-chan.
In Japan, we learn 算数 at elementary school.
We learn 数学 at junior high, or high school or university.
My definition is this:
算数 is something very important in my daily life.
数学 is something which I don't use now.
For example, when I was a junior high school student, I liked to solve 因数分解の問題.
For example:
X^2 + X - 6 = ?
? =(X+3)(X-2)
However, I've never used it in my actual daily life.
So I completely forget "二次方程式の解の公式”.
