I can understand people talking to me in English slowly.
But when I hear people talking as usual way, I can't understand what they're talking about.
It's so fast and they use many slang.
I'm going to go to a college in the USA as a student after two years or so, but I wonder if I can understand and follow the class, which is used only English.
And I also wonder if students who go to an American college from Japan become English better, say, gain natural English.
Do you know about any circumstances of the students who are from other countries in your college?

And I also wonder if students who go to an American college from Japan become fluent in English better,( say, gain natural English.)
Do you know about any circumstances of the students who are from other countries that became fluent in English in your college?

I'm going to go to a college in the U.S. as a student in about(?) two years or so, but I wonder if I can understand and follow the class, which only uses English.
And I also wonder if students who go to an American college from Japan improve in (or become fluent in) English, or say, use English naturally.
Do you know about the experiences of international students in your college?
I remember when I was an exchange student I could understand only Tokyo-ben, and only if people spoke slowly. But when I was with my host family, friends, or in school it was difficult to keep up with them at first. But now i can understand pretty well, its talking and writing that's difficult lol.
As far as other international students, I know a lot of them that either become fluent in "slang" or fluent in "formal" english, but not many that are 100% fluent. I do know a lot of students who are very natural, even if they have accents. Many of my friends are international students :)
And I'm relieved to hear your experience.
I wish I can improve in English in the US :D
