Statement of Purpose
My name is Tanka and I’m currently on my third year studying Vehicle engineering at XXXXXXX in Sweden, for my fourth year I wish to study abroad in Korea.
The reason why I want to study abroad is because it’s a valuable experience to have and I want to see the subject I’m studying in a broader, more international perspective. It would be nice with a change of environment and experience a different culture. It’s also a good opportunity to learn a third language.
I want to study at KAIST because it’s highly recognized in Asia and well-spoken of.
I have an Interest in learning another language, but I didn’t know which one I would go for so I began studying German. I thought that would be a good choice for monetary reasons and because it has a lot in common with Swedish, but I didn’t really enjoy it that much. I’ve had my eyes on Korean for a while and when I decided that I wanted to study abroad going to Korea seemed like the natural choice. I have been studying Korean on my own for a couple of months now, it’s a lot of fun and I’m highly motivated to learn more. In addition to my normal subjects I would like to take a Korean language curse also.
I haven’t decided yet what type of master I’m going to choose so I’ve taken some extra curses in electronics and programming so I can choose from a wider range of subjects.
I’m looking forward to new experiences and meeting new people.
Please help me with grammer errors, sentence structure and so on.
