Thesis statement : For me, adopting to a new enviroment depends on three reasons : food, culture, language.

At first, the food in the U.S is so difference from Japan. American food is very salty and there are big amounts on each plate.

Japanese used to the simple meals and the small amounts on each plate. Therefore, many Japanese people who don't like American

style may be hard to adopt to food in the U.S. I think food is one of reasons that people can adopt or not to new environment.

The second reason might be culture. If people live in new culture, they can adopt to new culture easily. On the other hand, people

stay mostly with people from their own country, it will be very hard to adopt to a new environment. For example, many Japanese live

in the U.S. Some of them would like to stay with people from same country. They retain to speak original language and can't learn

about new culture. Therefore, the people feel so hard to receive a new culture.

Last reason is language, it is English. This is the most hard thing for me to adopt Americans life. Even though, I have studied English

for many years in Japan, I haven't acquired yet. I decided to be volunteer in my daughters class to talk with native speaker in

English. Other mothers were very kind, and try to listen my talking. I can understand in the case that their talking theme is easy,

but I have to give up when the theme is like a vaccination. Therefore, learning language is most important thing for me to communicate

with American people.
