I visited Tokusatsu Museum yesterday.

(Tokusatsu means films using miniatures.)

This museum is directed by Anno Hideaki, a film directer famous for "EVANGELION".

Many miniatures which had actually used in the famous films such as GODZILLA or Ultraman were displayed there.

The photos are only parts of the examples.

Furthermore, you can become "GODZILLA" in the museum!

That is, you can take pictures of yourself surrounded by a lot of miniatures:->

When you come to Japan, try this!

pikumin : What is the perfect teacher? (3)

Ideas of the perfect teacher differ from person to person.
For example, some students think he or she should be good at academic subjects such as Mathematics or History, while others think he or she should be sympathetic and able to understand his or her students' feelings.
Therefore, the most important thing that every teacher should keep in mind is he or she should know what his or her students' ideal teacher is and pursue its ideal.

This is my homework, an essay about "perfect teacher".
I'd really appreciate it if you would correct this:->

pikumin : SONY&Nintendo (2)

Have you heard of SONY and Nintendo?
Both are Japanese famous companies dealing with computer games.
And they have been rivals for dozens of years.
But they have different policies.

SONY is making much of performance such as graphics and processors.
You can understand it if you play with PS3 or PSP.
When you are playing racing games on PS3, you might feel as if you are actually driving.
In a word, SONY is trying to create "virtual reality".

On the other hand, Nintendo regards creativity as the most important thing.
For example, it launched Nintendo 3DS a half year ago.
This gadget literally enables you to play games on 3D without wearing 3D glasses.
Nintendo won a prize for this innovative technology in Britain.
http://www.computerandvideogames.com/323233/golden-joysticks-2011-nintendo-wins-innovation-of-the-year/

Both companies are located in Japan.
But their purposes are quite different.
If you were forced to choose, which company would you like to work for? :->

Because I'd like to have my PC repaired as soon as possible, I called up the appliance store this morning
But, according to the clerk, it will cost 60,000-70,000(sixty thousand - seventy thousand) yen! X-<
(70,000 yen is equal to about 10,000 U.S.dollars now.)
I could't understand why in the world only exchanging batteries costs so much!
So, I've made up mind to buy new PC(not a laptop)!
(What do you call not laptop PCs in English? Desktop PCs?)

By the way, I have another question.
When you confirm your friend's reservation, which is better, "Have you reserved?" or "Did you reserve?"?
I'm confused. :-<

I'd like to express my opinion about an English education system in Japan.

To begin with, the most important thing I insist is that most Japanese people can't speak English well.

It means we Japanese aren't able to communicate with overseas people.

I feel sadness :-<

What factors have made this situation?

Although there are many, I've noticed main one.

Japanese education system is making too much of a reading skill.

As a matter of fact, the number of reading classes was 4 times as many as that of speaking classes in my junior high school.

To be sure, a reading skill is significant because it helps us gain knowledge by reading books or newspapers.

However, talking with foreign people is also important.

It is because we can interact with each other by talking.

This is the most important difference between reading and speaking, I think.

Therefore, I hope Ministry of Education, Science and Culture improves curriculum soon.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I tried writing an essay.
I'd appreciate if you would correct :-D

To begin with, please check this URL.
http://typhoon.yahoo.co.jp/weather/jp/typhoon/typha.html

Two typhoons are approaching Japan!
Their Asian names are Roke and Sonca.
(Hmm...good name!)

I might get struck on September 21 X-<

September 21 is my last holiday...

In such a case, I'll stay home and spend whole day reading comics :-0

Oh my god...

By the way, I'll recommend Japanese funny or exciting comics.

1.「Vagabond」TAKEHIKO INOUE (picture 1)
In this comic, Musashi, a Japanese sword master who actually existed, gets strong mentally and physically.
The description of this comic is dynamic and beautiful.
If you are interested in SAMURAI or BUSHI, you'll love it! :-D

2.「YOTSUBATO!」 KIYOHIKO AZUMA (picture 2)
This comic depicts a 5 year-old girl's life.
Certainly, there are rarely big incidents in it.
But, it gives us peace of mind.
After you have finished reading, you will be kind to people!

That's it.
When a typhoon strikes you, try them! lol

pikumin : I don't want to be a Japanese worker. :-< (4)

Most Japanese people become company employees.

While they live in suburb area, the head office is located in the urban area.

So, they have to commute there by train.

But, this seems a torture because the stations and trains are very crowded(please look at the pictures).

It results from high population density in Japan (especially in Tokyo).

If I were them, I might die soon because of stress:-0

This is why, I don't want to get a job in Japan.

I'll look for a job abroad! Yeah!

pikumin : Writing English is very difficult! (1)

In reality, I memorized many English phrases and words.

As a result, my reading and listening skills were improved.

Furthermore, I got 935 SCORE on TOEIC test.
(TOEIC is an English test for Asian people. It focuses on reading and listening.)

However, I can't be free to express my feelings or thoughts in English.

Even if I manage to write, the expressions are quite unnatural.

So, I'll continue to write in order to brush up on my writing skill.

I'll do my best!!!!!!

pikumin : If all human beings apart from me were dead, what would I do? (0)

I think I would die soon.

Certainly, you might think I might survive because there would be plenty of food.

However, I couldn't preserve it. I wouldn't know how.

I would suffer from food shortage.

In addition, electric supply would be stopped because all workers who once supplied electricity would have died.

So, I would feel scary and lonely.

Thus, I would not be able to survive such a horror world.

Oh my god!!!!!!!!!

I walked to nearby DIY store this morning.

In the pet division, I found very small animals sleeping.

I thought how cute they were!

As a matter of fact, they were not so expensive.

So, I really wanted to buy them.

But, having pets is prohibited in my apartment.

I felt sad and went home...:-<
