I visited Tokusatsu Museum yesterday.

(Tokusatsu means films using miniatures.)

This museum is directed by Anno Hideaki, a film directer famous for "EVANGELION".

Many miniatures which had actually used in the famous films such as GODZILLA or Ultraman were displayed there.

The photos are only parts of the examples.



Furthermore, you can become "GODZILLA" in the museum!

My panda mouse became a father 4 months ago!

He mated with my friend's mouse and she gave birth to 7 babies!

So I look after 2 of them.

As I fed them more and more, they grew bigger and bigger.

And now that they are bigger than their father!:->

The Japanese proverb says "the son gets over his father.".

They realized this phrase!XD

In China, a 2 year-old girl was run over by 2 cars on October 13.
After the drivers ran over(hit?) the girl, they ran away quickly.
What was worse, as many as 18 pedestrians turned a blind eye!
Although the both drivers were arrested, the girl died 1 week later.

I feel really angry and disappointed.
If the pedestrians or drivers had called an ambulance soon, she wouldn't have died.
I can't understand why they didn't try to help the tiny girl.
They should be ashamed themselves.

I'd like to introduce my pets today. :->
I keep a mouse, a dog, a rabbit and beetles.
I displayed pictures of the mouse and the beetle.

Please look at the first and second pictures.
This kind of mice is so called Panda Mouse because they have stripes like Giant Panda(s?).
When I went to a pet shop, I run into him and bought him on impulse because he was so pretty! :->

The third picture is one of my beetles.(I keep 8 beetles in total.)
It is a larva of Hercules beetle(http://bit.ly/reJb1p).
This kind is the biggest beetle in the world.
So, it weighs only 20g now, but it will grow rapidly and weigh 120-140g in 6months!

Anyway, I like my pets.

Today, I visited a high school I graduated from 3 and a half years ago.

Because it is located in the country, I ran into various insects on the way.

I took pictures of 2 different "蟷螂（かまきり）"s in no more than 5 minutes! lol

(What do you say かまきり in English?)

I like this insect. Its form and kanji are very cool, I think.

I'm going to go back to my hometown tomorrow.

I'll stay for a week and see my old fiends from my childhood. :->

I was born in Shizuoka Prefecture where Mt.Fuji exists.

So, I can always see it from my house.

Although it's not so high(even though the highest in Japan), very beautiful.

I'm proud of it.

However, it's not a World Heritage because of littering.

I feel so disappointed. :-<

To resolve this problem, many volunteers have been cleaning there for years.

As a matter of fact, I joined the volunteer activity when I was 10 years old.

I hope our efforts will bear fruit someday! :-D

Do you know Karaoke?

In a room, people sing songs to their hearts' content.

It's Karaoke.

Its name comes from "空っぽのオーケストラ"(this literally means an empty orchestra hall).

I think this system is suitable for Japanese people because they are so shy that they won't sing anywhere except for a separated room.

Karaoke has become popular in Japan because of this characteristic of them.
("has become popular" and "prevailed" are compatible?)

If you visit Japan, you should enjoy Karaoke! X-D
(I don't know whether Karaoke exists in any other country.)

I think the screen light's battery has been dead.

(When I say about "flat battery", can I also say "the battery is out" or "the battery is run out"?)

To solve this problem, I connected the PC with a TV monitor with a HDMI cable.

Thanks to that, I enjoy surfing the net on the larger screen. lol

But, I can't watch TV while doing that.

So, I need to go to an appliance store to have it repaired soon. :-<

It's troublesome!

This is why, I got up early this morning! Yeah!

As the proverb goes, "The early bird catches the worm".

We can say in Japanese "早起きは三文の得".

This literally means that if you get up early, you'll get 3 coins.

So, I will get something good today!

If I got 1 billion yen, I would buy a large house in Seattle and settle there! lol

To begin with, the most important thing I insist is that most Japanese people can't speak English well.

It means we Japanese aren't able to communicate with overseas people.

I feel sadness :-<

What factors have made this situation?

Although there are many, I've noticed main one.

Japanese education system is making too much of a reading skill.

As a matter of fact, the number of reading classes was 4 times as many as that of speaking classes in my junior high school.

To be sure, a reading skill is significant because it helps us gain knowledge by reading books or newspapers.

However, talking with foreign people is also important.

It is because we can interact with each other by talking.

This is the most important difference between reading and speaking, I think.

Therefore, I hope Ministry of Education, Science and Culture improves curriculum soon.

Most Japanese people become company employees.

While they live in suburb area, the head office is located in the urban area.

So, they have to commute there by train.

But, this seems a torture because the stations and trains are very crowded(please look at the pictures).

It results from high population density in Japan (especially in Tokyo).

If I were them, I might die soon because of stress:-0

This is why, I don't want to get a job in Japan.

I'll look for a job abroad! Yeah!

As a result, my reading and listening skills were improved.

Furthermore, I got 935 SCORE on TOEIC test.
(TOEIC is an English test for Asian people. It focuses on reading and listening.)

However, I can't be free to express my feelings or thoughts in English.

Even if I manage to write, the expressions are quite unnatural.

So, I'll continue to write in order to brush up on my writing skill.

Certainly, you might think I might survive because there would be plenty of food.

However, I couldn't preserve it. I wouldn't know how.

I would suffer from food shortage.

In addition, electric supply would be stopped because all workers who once supplied electricity would have died.

So, I would feel scary and lonely.

Thus, I would not be able to survive such a horror world.

I walked to nearby DIY store this morning.

In the pet division, I found very small animals sleeping.

I thought how cute they were!

As a matter of fact, they were not so expensive.

So, I really wanted to buy them.

But, having pets is prohibited in my apartment.
