I'm going to an event tomorrow.
明日、あるイベントに参加します。
It's designed to get to understand Japanese culture with international exchange.
それは、国際交流をしながら日本文化に親しむことを目的としたものです。
We'll practice Zen sitting meditation and then enjoy a tea ceremony.
お寺で座禅をした後、お茶会を楽しみます。
Actually I entered for this event just before the deadline.
実は、締め切り間際に申し込みました。
Because I debated between it and a prior engagement right up until the date.
すでにある予定をどうしようかと、ギリギリまで迷っていたからです。
For that reason, I was told, "The applications have already been filled."
そういう訳で、「もうすでに満員です」と言われました。
However, someone's cancelled so I can participate in it.
ところが、キャンセルが出たので、参加できることになりました。
Maybe English natives will come.
イングリッシュネイティブの方たちも来るはずです。
I'm excited and nervous.
わくわく、ドキドキ。

でも、例外があります。例えば、痛い、痛い飛んでけ はpain,pain,go awayと直訳したらわかりやすいです(^O^)／

命令形の”痛くなれ、痛くなれ ・・・”とも取られますね？
