I have no idea about the ettiquette of sending letters in Japan. But I'm sure they wouldn't expect me to.
I know I am late sending this letter however I have been very sick lately and regrettably forgot about it.

Please inform me of any other things I need to put in the letter and on the envelope etc.

Happy New Year
I hope you had a good christmas and new year break.
I hear that Japan is a little cold but very beautiful around this time.
Australia is currently the opposite, at least in terms of temperature.

Thanks to you guys, I have continued studying Japanese everyday.
I don't want to waste another chance to talk to such interesting kind people as you guys.
I have been thinking of going to Japan again to study sometime.
I am looking forward to it.
Anyway, I wish you all the best for the new year.

By the way, sorry for the late letter.
I needed help editting it.
