Today, I was Kimura only three hours.
Although my family name is Motomura(本村), I'm often misread Kimura(木村) because it is more popular than my family name.
However I'm used to it.
So I worked three hours as Kimura today.
I usually point out such mistakes except for a person that I think I never see him/her again such as a receptionist, a postman and so on.
Well, it was good that my boss at the restaurant I worked today realized his mistake in the middle of working hours because I planed to be work at there next week end.
In addition, there's occationally a Chanese character mistake that I'm misread 元村 instead of 本村 so I ask a person I meet at first to call my given name recently.
For those reason, my Lang-8 name is HEITA, and the reason why it is in capital letters is good looks and good number of strokes.
Are you misread your name often?

Today, I was Kimura for only three hours.
Although my family name is Motomura (本村), I'm often misread called (or: it's often misread as) Kimura (木村) because it is more popular than my family name. (always one space after closing brackets)
I usually point out such mistakes except for when it's a person that I think I never see him/her again such as a receptionist, a postman and so on.
Well, it was good that my boss at the restaurant I worked at today realized his mistake in the middle of working hours because I planned to be work at there again next weekend.
In addition, there's occasionally a Chinese character mistake that I'm misread as, 元村 instead of 本村, so I ask a person I meet at first to call me by my given name recently.
Are you misread your name often? - Is your name misread often?
To be honest, I haven't read your surname by now:P
thank you for corrections!!
So I worked for three hours as Kimura today.
Well, it was good that my boss at the restaurant I worked at today realized his mistake in the middle of working hours because I planned to be working there next weekend.
For those reasons, my Lang-8 name is HEITA, and the reason why it is in capital letters is that it looks good and has a good number of strokes.
Thank you for corrections!!
Although my family name is Motomura (本村), it's often misread as Kimura (木村) because that family name is more popular than my family name.
In addition, there's occasionally a different Chanese character mistake where it is misread as 元村 instead of 本村 so I have been asking people I meet at first to call me by my given name recently.
The hiragana isn't a perfect match, but it kind of works.
Name: Aragon
Pronunciation: Air-uh-gone
Spanish Pronunchiation: Are-uh-goan
Thank you for corrections!!
I usually point out such mistakes except when it's a person that I think I'll never see him/her again such as a receptionist, a postman and so on.
My last name is extremely hard to pronounce. Even if I were to correct someone, most wouldn't be able to say it. So I don't correct people. It doesn't bother me anyway.
Thank you for corrections!!
My real name is Spanish, so many people have issues with it when they first see it written, but once they hear it, they can pronounce it.
In any case, lately, when I introduce myself, I say "Hi, I'm Zia." Then in the future, I explain my real name.
Today, for just three hours, I was Kimura.
Although my family name is Motomura(本村), it is often misread as Kimura(木村) because Kimura is more common.
But that's okay - I'm used to it.
I usually point out such mistakes except when it's someone I think I'll never see him/her again such as a receptionist or a postman.
Well, it was good that my boss at the restaurant I worked at today realized his mistake while I was still there because I'm supposed to be working there next weekend as well.
In addition to this misreading, my surname 本村 is also sometimes misread as 元村 so recently I have taken to asking people I meet for the first time to call me by my first name which is why my Lang 8 name is HEITA. (Note: "have taken to" = started doing something as a habit)
And the reason why HEITA is in capital letters is because it looks good that way and has a good (propitious?) number of strokes.
Thank you for corrections as always(^-^)/
You should fight for your family name Motomura, because it sounds more elegant than Kimura. Don't let people call you by a wrong name, because I've seen such situations a lot in sit-coms. xp
By the way, quite a number of Croatian have ~ic that there's at the end of their surname, aren't they? So I heard that it is equivalent to that of ~son in English. Is it true?
Although, I don't know about the English ~son.
