けさ、図書館へ行きました。図書館で太郎君に会ました。太郎君といっしょにビデオを見ました。私は旅行の本を借りました。
あしたは日曜日です。朝、旅行の本を読みます。
午後、デパートへ行きます。母の誕生日のプレセントを買います。去年は母に花をあげました。ことしは日本の花の本をあげます。

This morning, I went to the Library. I went to meet Tarou at the Library. Tarou and I watched a video together. I borrowed a traveling book.
Tomorrow is Sunday. In the morning I'm going to read the traveling book.
In the afternoon, I'm going to go to the store. I'm going to buy my mother's birthday present. Last year I gave her some flowers. This year I'm going to give her a Japanese flower book.

「観ました」and 「見ました」 have the same pronunciation. Both are a same word. When speaking there is no difference.

When writing, sometimes we use different kanji characters depending on the meanings. When watching movies, videos, or theater plays etc., 「観」is considered to be a more appropriate kanji character. In this case, 「見ました」and「観ました」 are both acceptable but 「観ました」is better.

I see, so why is "観ました" more appropriate in this context? I'm sorry, it may seem like another question I have asked and I'm sorry for continuing to answer questions but it will help with my understanding! Thank you!~

Because the thing that you みる is a video. In English you use "watch" when you see a movie, a video or a sports game. But you don't use "look at" in such cases.

You can use 見る in this case. It is considered to be a correct usage. However some people who have more language skills want to distinguish kanji characters depending on the meanings or the situations. For such people, 観る is a better choice.

I'm not sure but I think 観る roughly corresponds to "watch" in English.
テレビを観る
ビデオを観る
映画を観る
芝居を観る
試合を観る

I listened to your speaking.
Your speaking was good. I could understand almost everything.

One thing I noticed was 太郎くん. I could not catch the name of 太郎くん.
You pronounced it ta-u-ru-kun but it should be ta-ro-u-kun.

I see! Thank you~ Sometimes I pronounce things wrong because "ru" and "ro" look almost exactly the same! :) I shall have to improve :)
