yusskei : Practice for IELTS writing (0)

Hi,
What aspects could you correct and how about style, component and coherence?
In addition, I am grateful if you suggest rephrases to improve this short essay.

***

Question:

People naturally resist making changes in their lives?
What kind of problems can this cause? What solution can you suggest?

My answer:

In general, people are tend to avoid making changes because in many cases, they make people anxious and have them feel stressful.

One of the big problems is prevail of English. Nowadays, English is getting common and people are required to use it in various situations. For example, some companies in Japan introduce English as their common language. From an important business meeting to a casual conversation, all employees have to do in English. It causes that some employees feel very stressful because they cannot communicate well with their colleagues and bosses. Badly, they think that they cannot work there any more and decide to resign.

One possible solution is to make changes gradually. It means that people can cope with small problems by themselves. Take the company which English is used at office as an example, changes could be made in a little scale at first. Introducing English in e-mail is one of the measures, not conducting all conversations in English. After that, important report and conference could be done in English. By doing this, employees will be getting familiar with English gradually and feel less anxious and stressful.

To sum up, changes could be made gradually to avoid people resist it. I believe people can adopt them in usual whenever the changes are small.

###

Thank you all the time!

yusskei : Is always telling the truth the most important consideration in any relationship? (0)

This is a question of TOEFL exam and my answer. Could you help me by your correction and assessment or advice? However I have known it is slightly short..

Do you agree or disagree with this idea?
"Always telling the truth is the most important consideration in any relationship"

***
I disagree with the idea that always telling the truth is the most important consideration in any relationship. The reasons are as follows.

Firstly, telling the truth is not most important matter in relationship. I believe that communicating with each other smoothly is more important than telling the trust to keep or engage relationship. Relationship collapse because of fight. To avoid fight, occasionally not telling truth is useful. For example, children, especially in case of he is higher than teen, haven't to do tell his schedule to his parents in detail. That is because something probably makes his parents concern about you and may cause trouble. Actually, when I back home at midnight, I tell may parents it but not tell why I will be back later. It is comfortable for each other and avoid needless trouble.

Secondly, telling the truth is not important in certain relationship. It is true that being disclosed is good for constructing a relationship, but it is not true that all of relationship need to telling truth. For instance, new teacher feel anxious about his holding first class as same as his student feels. However once the teacher express his feeling, the students get anxious too. The relationship between the teacher and the students will collapse. In fact, my friend stand on the class vigorously as a teacher though she is newcomer who had graduated university just before.

Therefore I disagree with the idea that telling the truth is always most important thing in all relationship.

***
Thanks!

I would be grateful if you could assess my writing and give me advise.
I will review on my own, but I want to refer the view of native person.

***
The lecturer points two findings about team working.

Firstly, there was "free ride" in some team members when team worked. Some people didn't work well, but they reworded as same to people worked well. The reading states that various individuals who have talent or strengh in each area cooperate and collaborate well. However the study taken place in a company didn't show it.

Secondly, decision was not made quickly. Passage states that the response in group is quick because the number of people is involved in it and group can move quickly. However the study showed that decision was not made quickly because there was difference of thought in each members and they couldn't get agreement an then group couldn't move forward anymore. The lecturer conclude the project failed because the team working didn't work well.

###

yusskei : Plan to trip to Kuala Lumpur (0)

2 weeks after, I will trip to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I am fascinated with it since it has a variety of merits.

Firstly, access is convinient. As I use the Air Asia, I will leave Japan on 11pm and I will be able to reach Kuala Lumpur 6:30am. It sounds good for short tripper to spend a time as long as possible. As well as outward, return is also convinient. I will go back to Japan 2:30pm from KL, arrive my home towan on 11pm. It's itineary is fantastic!

Secondly, it has a nice beach around there. Though I will reach KL, my final porpose is Cheratin. Cherating is said that like a nice beach and favored sight by backpacker. A beach always makes me relax and I really love it.

For these reasons, Kuala Lumpur is sound good for me and I can not wait it.
If you are or will be in there in that time, let's hang out!

yusskei : Are parents good teacher? (2)

The title is based on the TOEFL sample question and I rethink it in this time.

*Sample Q.2
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Parents are the best teachers. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

*My answer
I have agreement with the statement because parents have a lot of chance to teach to their child especially early age child. My opinion is based on following two reasons.

First of all, parent are the person who know their child the most. Parents see their child since child was boen. Parents know child's character and trait so they can advise child accurately.

Secondly, parents have a time with child. Especially when child is early age, parent are with child in long time. So parents have a time to teach a lot of things to child.

Hense, I think parent are the best teachers especially when child is early age.

So I try to do it by summery in here.

*Sample Q1.
People attend school for many different reasons (for example, expanded knowledge, societal awareness, and enhanced interpersonal relationships). Why do you think people decide to go to school? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

*My answer
I think people go to school to earn variety of experience, especially college students. For instance, recently I am replaced a account, means client in jargon, because I have high score of TOEIC. I feel many space or chance of jobs remains in English needed fiels.

Seconds, I try to study PR and Media in depth.
yusskei : Difficulty of Telephone Meeting (8)

In my office, English is used commonly. There are many e-mail and document in English but, today English emerged suddenly in different situation. That was a telephone meeting.

A telephone meeting is meeting over the telephone literally. Every attendants don't gather to the conference room but are in their desk. A presenter show attendants an agenda and presentations through the intranet and he speaks over the telephone wich we attendants can hear it.

If you imagine that it will be done all in English, you would also imagine that it's hard to catch up with to Japanese. That's true. And unfortunately, since we could not use intranet because of technical trouble, we did it by only telephone and power point today.

It is very difficult to catch up with to me because of two reason. First, attendants are all native English speaker. They speaks English very fast rather than my iPod. Second, I listened English through the telephone. Listening through it is more difficult than listening in face to face because I can't see speakers face or body language. So it is difficult to understand tone of speaking.

Overall, that is good experience for me and I decide to study english more harder.

*picture attached is license by StevenErat

For instance, Ron Mueck from Australia, inges idee from Germany, or Yayoi Kusama from Japan.

The reason why Towada Museum is nice is not only the museum itself, but also around there is also full of art. Many art works are in street, park or yard of the museum. The art is disclosed and the art is not special. That is why Towada Museum is great and the reason you must visit there.

*Towada Art Center
http://towadaartcenter.com/web/towadaartcenter.html

2 weeks ago, I went to Kanazawa city in Ishikawa pref, Japan. In there my friend and his girlfriend taken me interesting places. One of them was Chirihama Drive Way.

Since "hama" means beach in Japanese, Chirihama Drive Way is beach on witch we can drive by own car! We drived on beach by my friend's girlfriend car. Sometimes stopped it on shore line and talked with him or walked with him feeling good sea wind.

The picture attached is my favorite one. My friend was in driving seat, his girlfriend was in next to him and I shut a picture from back of them. It remembered me the mexican movie " Y tu mamá también" ,"And your mother, too" in English. Maybe it has a scene looks like the picture, young people is in car at near beach. That feels me special.

If you will visit Japan and will go to Kanazawa, It could be better for making a excursion to Chirihama.

yusskei : Magazine "CORNER" (0)

Somedays ago, I found a nice magazine in bookstore. "CORNER" is its name. CORNER was published in first time from publisher, Espre, inc. in this April. Subtitle of this issue is "Life with Running West Coast Report".

So it introduces people living west coast of United States and their lifestyle with fine pictures, good texts, beautiful design. In article, some people interviewed and everyone said "Running is interstring and healthy!" with his and her smile. It makes me think "Running at West Coast could be nice! I wanna go there!".

Though I don't have read yet, the other of interview, magazine introduces Nike's bland story or historical people or shoes. Actuary, product you can see in magazine is all Nike and advertisement is also. So I wonder this magazine tie-ups to Nike.

Anyway, this is awesome magazine and I recommend you to read one time at least. If you are runner or Nike lover, must not miss it.

*Note:
Original made by Japanese is in my blog: http://presslibre.com/tsubuyaki/magazine/

Do you know the story grandfather and memo that has spread in twitter at around 2010. One day a man picked up a book from his grandfather’s shelf. When he opened the book, he found a short memo. It says “welcome my grandchild, I think you grow to be worth reading this book and I am so delighted”. A man said it was very heartwarming and he was delighted too.

※You can read a article regarding it.
Internet Watch: http://internet.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/yajiuma/20100106_340549.html

Surprisingly similar event was happened in my life some days ago.I got a book “The House on Mango street” at The Book Cafe Rawai Phuket in my last year’s summer trip.

※Please refer to: http://presslibre.com/travel/phuket/bookcafe/

Recently I read again and I found a sign. It says “to Kristine with LOVE your father Felipe”. I said oh my god! and it reminds me of that story. I feel father’s love is common all around the world and I wish I would be so.

I love traveling, especially beach and sea area in our Asia. I went to Phuket, Thailand last year and I enjoy very much. Most notable thing is book cafe that is much inspiring. This post tells the story.

***
Phuket is free-bike city. So you can drive a bike or scooter to not only the west side -beach & guesthouse area-, but also to the south area -nature remains more-. Perhaps it happens good luck.

The Book Cafe Rawai Phuket is book store that deals used books. People can sell own books or exchange it to other book. They have variety of books that traveler from all of the world have read and sell. Nice selection!

Book store’s exterior and interior is so awesome that have colorful fabris and it offers good atmosphere. Woman in store is also nice. I sent a mail later, “Can I up your picture to my blog?”, and she replied that “Yes you can put the picture on your blog. please send me the link when you have done it.” It good news for me though I have no idea who write it.lol

That day -September 2011- I exchanged my William S Barrows “Naked Lunch” to Sandra Cisneros “The House on Mango Street”. That was good decision and I brought everywhere in my trip, guesthouse, beach or dinner.

It was awesome book. Storys is interesting, human-warned and funny. It was difficult to understand every for normal Japanese, but I loved parts and parts. I thought who bought it? American or European? in where? It was precious time for my trip.

***
I recommend it hardly when you go to Phuket!
(Japanese version: please refer to http://presslibre.com/travel/phuket/bookcafe/)
