I decided not to spend much time on the Facebook.

I read this article today.

I was surprised to know the fact that we spend 10.5 billion minutes on Facebook.
(However, this doesn't include the time on the mobile.)

We see and write something about our lives on the Facebook, but I doubt that it is truly necessary for us?

I regret using much time on the Facebook.
If I had studied harder instead of that, I could get better job.
So, I decided not to spend much time on the Facebook.

What do you think about this idea?

I think it's a good idea. Although I personally don't think that Facebook is destroying relationships (I think it increases relationships), too much Facebook isn't a good thing because it takes away all of our time. I think I should start using Facebook less too :)

I think that it is a very good idea. I do not spend a lot of time on Facebook because of this. I think it is mostly a waste of time.

    Maybe "wasting so much time" if you want to emphasise how much you regret it.

I think it's a good idea to minimize how much time you spend on Facebook, even if you go back to using it a little. And as long as you aren't on Facebook on your mobile too much while talking with friends, it's fine. :P

I think everyone corrected this nicely ^^

"I was surprised to know the fact that we spend 10.5 billion minutes on Facebook." <-- 10.5 billion minutes per day--this statistic needs to be corrected because that's basically saying 20 years per day lol.

I think it's a good idea to minimize your time spent. As long as you study well, you can use Facebook as much as you want. It's hard for some people because they don't want to balance their time; they wanna make more time for Facebook, sometimes. It's easier to use Facebook if you have little goals like:

- Message a friend about a certain topic.
- Inform people about anything they'd like to know about your day.
- Upload photos/videos to share.
- Create a specific group for discussing a specific topic.

A lot of people tend to wander aimlessly on Facebook, kind of like wandering in a mall to look at anything and everything. ^^

Well, I think you are right! I am sure, that in the future people will stop leaving their houses, talk to their friends without using messages or camera... But, like Gerald Broflovski said: "This is the future. But why can't we enjoy our present a little longer?". The point is that we need to communicate, to live our life,revel it! Take a look through the window! What do you see?

I used to spend a lot of time on facebook as well. Recently I only check it quick to see if anything big is happening in my friend's lives. Other than that I waste time on other websites. I always feel I should be studying or doing something else more productive too.
