During the last several days I visit this resource quite often. I'm really glad to get corrections from other users and, of course, I'd like to make some corrections for students who study Russian. But it's really hard to find new posts in Russian to check!
I've found out that this resource is extremelly popular among korean and japanese students and quite new for students in my country. Moreover, there are few persons who study my language...
Is it too hard or unpopular to study? What do you think?
By the way, I'm from Saint-Petersburg.)
It's warm and sunny today. But the weather is worse than in July or June. There is a saying about this time : "August is like a Sunday evening".

Btw (by the way), in English our smilies are written with a colon ':'. So:

How are you studying English? At school?
I studied English at school, at university, but the most effective way for me is teaching practice. I have been helping children with English for 3 years. Nowadays I work even with groups of elementary or pre-intermediate students. I like it a lot! :) However, there are phrases, words and rules that are unfamiliar for me, that is why I'm here!
And how are you studying Russian?
As for me, i started early this year with an old Assimil Russian course, but stopped a third of the way through because it got too complicated and i couldn't remember the vocabulary. Two weeks ago I started again with a more recent course which has a much slower pace. I'm currently studying French and German, too, so i'm sort of waiting until i finish those two (huge) courses before completely diving into Russian, but it shouldn't be more than a month or two :)
I was a little bit busy because of my work.
As I can see, you are really interested in languages! Is your job connected with French and German? Or this is just your enthusiasm?)
As for me, I had been learning French at university. (is this a righ grammatic form? I ment - I had lessons, but now I don't.)
I've graduated several months ago and now I understand that I forgot a lot of words and grammatical constructions... unfortunately.
Do you have any possibility to communicate with french-speaking people?
What was your degree in?
And for me, languages are a hobby. Right now I'm in Spain, and I would love to go spend some time in France, but I don't know when/if that will happen.
After my graduation I'm a linguist and intercultural communications specialist. There are, undoubtably, interesting points in my degree. Especially when speaking about intercultural communacations! But nowadays I don't have a lot of possibilities to communicate with foreigners, because my job is not connected with such contacts at all.
I've visited Spain once, and I loved it, but I was robbed there. It's not like in Germany or Finland, where you can trust other people more.
Spain, in this way, is like Russia where you can be robbed or fooled if you don't protect your property. However, this could happen in any country...
What is it like in the USA?
When I was at University I used to translate different French and English texts a lot. Moreover we studied science of language and other humanities. But 50% of these courses are useless unless you are going to become a specialist in this sphere, a scholar.
Nowadays my groupmates need only languages, translation skills, business lexics and business etiquette. So do I.
As a linguist, I work in an educational center as an English tutor twice a week. It seems to be connected with my education.)
Is that what you want to do? Teach English?
This new job is for experience and for some money as well, and I hope that several years later I'll find something that I really want to do...
Do you know what you want to do in your life? or may be you've already found a job of your dream?)
