Active and Passive Voice .... Please help ....

1.- It is said that in a sentence is in active voice when the significancy of the verb is produced by the grammatical person whom it relates are:
Pedro de Mendoza founded Buenos Aires.
2) It is said that in a sentence is in passive voice when the significancy of the verb is received by the grammatical person whom it relates are:
Buenos Aires was founded by Pedro Mendoza.
3) Is formed with the auxiliary of the verb "to be" and the past participle of the verb that conjugates.
4) The complement of the active sentence pass to the subject of the passive sentence.
5) When a verb has two complements can make two structures of passive:
a) A book was sent to Tom by Mr. Smith.
b) Tom was sent a book by Mr. Smith.

Hope this helps. Being a native English speaker, I never think or write about this stuff so this was actually a hard entry to edit (to no fault of yours!)

Since this was already corrected, may I just add, since I was sternly lectured on this:
When writing important papers and such in English, try to avoid passive voice. With common writing, like this comment, it's okay to have it, but in school papers it should rarely if ever be used >.>
