Well... I thought it would translate as "I gave tom a souvenir"... -_-" since masu is present and future right? and how would i use the partical 'he'? :O

I'm confused -_-" so what i said in my entry was wrong? because (with your small corrections) I said "Watashi wa Tom-san he omiyage wo agemasu" What's with the'shita'on the end of the verb instead of masu? did i congigate the verb wrong? :O I really only know how to congigate them to masu form and i'm getting the hang of the 'te' form.

ageru = normal verb >present or future
agemasu = polite verb >present or future
ageta = normal verb >past
agemashita = polite verb >past
