I'm in the hospital now, and my life in the surgical ward is boring a little bit.
私は今入院していて、外科病棟での暮らしがちょっと退屈なのです。

On May 18, I had an operation on my small intestine.
5月18日に、私は小腸の手術を受けました。
Now, I'm getting well, and the doctor said that I could leave hospital within 2 or 3 weeks.
今では回復しており、先生によると2、3週間で退院できるとのことです。

It was my first time to have an operation, so one of my friends made a joke like this;
今回が私の初めての手術だったので、ある友人はこんな冗談を言っていました。
"it's your first time to do "hara-kiri", so after your surgery, you'll become a real "samurai!"
「初めての切腹だから、帰ってくる頃には侍になってるね」
