部屋を掃除していた時、母は私の名前を求める呼んだ。
I was cleaning my room when I heard my mother scream out my name.
母がこんなひっしの語気で呼んでいて、いったい何が起こっているか？
What could have startled her so much for her to call my name out?
泥棒かい？もしくは、けだ箱の中に、蜘蛛の巣が見つけたかな？
A robber? Maybe a spider's nest in the shoe rack?
もしかして、幕府の暗殺者が私の命のため来てくれた？！
Or the shogunate's assassins who have come to take my life?
いや。ただのトカゲだった。

A cute lizard.
優しくに、トカゲの頭を狙って、アイスクリームの箱にすくいあげた。
I carefully scooped it head-first into an ice-cream container.
ペットとして飼いたかった、たまんないぞ～！
I wanted to keep it....it's so cute!! :3
何といっても、家の近くある公園で解放した。
In the end, I released it at a park near my house.
オーストラリアは今とても暑いが、これに対して、香港は本当に寒い！
Australia is really hot right now, while Hong Kong is really cold.
私は、この世界には向いてないだろうかい？！ Ｄ＝

ヤモリって、家の中にゴキブリ、はえ、などを食べるか？

母がこんな悲鳴みたいな声で呼ぶなんて、いったい何が起きたんだ？
トカゲの尻尾をつかんで優しくつまみ上げ、アイスクリームの箱に入れた。I can understand that you wanted to use "scoop" because it's an ice-cream container, but it doesn't work in Japanese.
ふふふ．．．
Sherry up above suggested "まっさかさま", but I think this implies a faceplant when you trip over or something..

So, you didn't really "picked" it "up"?
If you just encourage it to go into the box, then
トカゲが頭からアイスクリームの箱に入っていくように促した。
It's sort of a boring sentence. 真っ逆さまに落ちていった sounds more exciting. :D
I would write:
トカゲをすくいとるようにして、アイスクリームの箱に入れた。
omitting the "head first" part. In this way, you can express the "scoop" part.
