I'm now dying for traveling!

This is one of the greatest diaries I have read in a long time. Haha, I feel your pain about work and acquaintances. I hope you get a nice vacation with some good travel and sight-seeing!

Mmmh...Sounds like you're caught in a typical domestic situation. :( As a reformed independent, single, career woman who has recently accepted the role of a housewife, I'm keenly aware of what makes a good wife a nagging shrew, and I try very hard not to do that to my husband. If I catch myself starting to nitpick or nag, I apologize for being snitty afterwards. I have to be REALLY frustrated to do it, but I'm a pretty patient person, so it takes a long time before I will let him know I'm upset about something.

I hope you're able to make the escape you want. It sounds like you need it, for nothing if not stress relief purposes. Have you maybe thought about taking a vacation for yourself that might be a little closer to home? Maybe then it'll cost less money, but still be a nice getaway for you. :)
