Here is a book that is very important to me. The title is "駆け抜けた青春" in Japanese. It means "Running through youth" in English. It's something that you can't buy in any store, because it's a privately-printed book. The book shows the life of a person who are actually quite nice. The happiness and sadness of a men are expressed through the eyes of his mother. There is overflowing of love of the family.
The reason I mentioned it here it's because this was written from the story my acquaintance. He's a friend rather than an acquaintance. I first met him about twenty years ago when I've got my part time job. He was the director there and so he keeps his eyes on the while I was promoting cigarette brands, cosmetic brands and etc. He often gives me different jobs and sometimes gives me a lift back home after our job is finished.
At that time, I was young, around twenty years old, there were some young directors who initatetes me a date but I hate that. However, he never do that. He's a really gentle and kind, so I trust him very much. He has also good looks. I like him as a friend. I sometimes share my private life, about my boyfriend. I was long distance love at the moment, so I have some worries, so I talked to him about my worries something like that. I know he has a nice girlfriend, and he maintains a good relationship with her, so I felt envy them.

Singular vs plural:
a person is
many people are
:)
The happiness and sadness of a man are expressed through the eyes of his mother.
men (plural) man (singular) but the rest is great!

kept - past tense to match the sentence
At that time, I was young, around twenty years old, there were some young directors who asked me out on a date but I hate that.
However, he never did.
He's a really gentle and kind, so I trust him very much.
He also has also good looks.
I was in a long distance relationship at the moment, so I had some worries and I talked to him about them, or something like that.
love is an emotion, relationship is the connection between too people. :) Also, instead of "I talked to him about them" you could say "I shared them with him"
I know he has a nice girlfriend, and he maintains a good relationship with her, but I (still) envy them.
still is not needed but might add a bit to how you feel currently.
But maybe this story happened long ago and I am a bit late with this suggestion, lol! Well it was very interesting to read and your English is very good, hope to read more sometime! :D
Let me know if you have questions, I will try answer as best I can. ありがと!
